Troons tend to congregate in no life free games. Again most players seem to be on the dole. Just gotta tune them out as much as you reasonably can.

Texas Knights on Turtle WoW was the most LOL guild. They attracted astounding levels of troon hate. I loved it.

In the span of 36 hours, members of our team have successfully completed migrating both the core and the database infrastructure to Linux Debian. The reason we didn’t do this earlier is simple: our core just didn’t work properly on Linux, and we wrongly assumed our Windows Server configuration would scale for player demand. The launch has proven otherwise.

As a result, we are rebuilding key tools on the fly to run in a Linux environment. This type of adaptation has never been done before, but we have the right people in place to support us.

A significant milestone has been reached. The team, along with help from our collaborators, have managed to build the full, complete Project Epoch core on Linux and tested some of our custom content. The results are good, far exceeding our expectations, we are going to give it a spin on a local server using player bots (which simulate sending many player packets) and we will keep you posted.

It's not just them, if you're in the guild you'll get hate from random people just for existing.

Legit help someone with a quest and and they'll be like "FUCK YOU! (Insert Racist, Nazi, Fascist, Phobe, ect).

Honestly the guild is filled with nice cool people though.

I leveled a brand new character on Turtle with the perma-PvP flag AND you can only equip white gear challenge to get some free item, I don't even remember what it was, something mail box/bank access related. I did it, but ran into a bunch of idiots trying to taunt me for sucking at pvp. Well, you're a skull and I'm in whites, I'll do better next time o_O

World PvP'ers ganking and then taunting you because you're a lower level by like 10 levels (Think that's skull range) and in shit gear. How could this happen.

Nothing personally aimed at you btw. That's just one reason I hate world PvP it's 90% of the time in the ganker's favor either you're fighting a mob or the level difference/gear difference is massive. These same people normally hate BG's/Arena because they're put against people that are in their same level range. If WoW had a system kinda like Everquest PvP had one where it locked you to only being able to attack people in your level range either 4 up or 4 down it would be so much better but it's just not fun getting ganked by some bored level 60 who has nothing else better to do.

Granted I'm not sure if I'm any better I made a new character that was like level 3 at the time and someone was doing the level 1 pvp challenge twinked out the ass and ganked me like 5 times in a row so I ran my 60 over there and killed them they then flamed me for killing a level 1.

That 20% bonus exp on Turtle is nice though.

You can't take it too personally though. But I was surprised when one level capped warlock actually used the friends list to actively hunt me down daily. I'm just glad Turtle WoW took one psychopath off the streets for now :p

It's all part of the fun though. You right click add them to the KOS list and skullfuck them later.

Open world pop is a disaster in every aspect. It's nothing more than a gankfest 99.9% of the time and it results in a very few people being able to control the lack of enjoyment for many.

Every mmo thst tries to go down this route fails, as it results in nerf after nerf on classes and everything ends up trying to be balanced around it.

Even in wow, after the initial level rush happens, people look to see which server is faction heavy and then transfer off of it resulting in almost every single server being 99% horde or 99% alliance.
