Caught the 1994 film The Specialist (Silvester Stallone, Sharon Stone, James Woods) on TV last night, quite by accident. I remember I watched it sometime close to when it was released and then not again since. Decided to mention this here for the simple reason that Sly and Stone have a shower sex scene in it that is one of the hottest damn things I've seen outside of porn. God damn she was sexy back in the day. Gonna say she is sexier in this film than in Basic Instinct.

The Great Outdoors - this movie still slaps. John Candy was such a gem.

Just watched Sneakers for the first time. Conclusion? Whoever wrote that movie has a time machine and decided the best use of that time machine is to see the future and then travel back in time to... write a movie.

The autographed blue prints for the cabin were hung above the door at the hardware store I used to work at as a kid.

Virtuoso - apparantly hasn't even released yet but you can find it. Anson Mount as an assassin. I liked him as Captain Pike so decided to give this a go. He feels a bit too wooden in this, especially in a certain situation, but overall its fine enough as it fits the character. The story however leaves some to be desired, some doesn't make sense, some the main character just seems dumb as hell for someone who is supposed to be a 'virtuoso'. There are tiddies so it has that going for it, including Abbie Cornish. Movies these days are a bit afraid to show skin so I will commend them for that +1. 6/10

American Satan - 2/10 was a dumb and boring movie. The only good thing was the soundtrack. Probably doesn’t help I hate the lead actor. Not sure why this movie has such high reviews on rotten tomatoes.

American Assasin on Netflix. Action was decent and I swear Micheal Keaton is so much better as a serious actor than a comedic one. It had some dumb shit that stretched the suspension of disbelief but all-in-all about a 7.5

This was my third viewing. I fucking love this movie almost as much as I love my child. I wish there were more movies with this same animation quality and adult themes (gore, violence, demons/monsters). It is simply a feast for the eyes, and the story is pretty cool as well. When I watched it the first time I did a little research on the manga from which it comes and it seems pretty neat. 100/10

Green Inferno

I had my VPN on and I got the US listing (it is not in Canada netflix). This movie is so bad it is ALMOST funny. Worst acting, worst script, terrible effects, all around piece of poop. The only saving grace are deaths of stupid protestors. -100/10.

Things heard and seen. on netflix.

ugh. MEN ARE BADDDDDDDDDD. the ghost movie. #23312312.
young couple move to house. house is haunted. man is controlling, cheats within 1 day of arriving with teenage neighbor. and just gets worse from there.
dude has zero redeeming qualities right from the start.

supernatural element is idiotic. women helping women. except not really actually doing anything. just giving affirmations while they get murdered I guess.

Alive- on showtime right now. 3 out of 10. If I say much about it it'll ruin it. It's torture porn without showing much violence. The idea for the movie is pretty darn good. It's execution however is terrible. Bad basically in every way.

it's a modern torture porn retelling of the Frankenstein story. To give an idea of how bad it is, at the end, in case you are retarded, there is a sign that says Mr and Mrs Frankenstein

Watched the "Lords of Dogtown" on AMZN last night with my teen daughter. She has been getting into skateboarding. It's based on real events. Eerie that when you listen to Heath Ledger's character, there are times when you can close your eyes and hear the Joker's delivery style. I am sure some elements of the Joker came from this character. Its not great but enjoyable if you like the surf/skate scene. 7/10. The soundtrack is a 10/10 though.

The Lost Boys - 7/10 never got around to watching this movie and finally did once I saw it on HBO Max. Awesome movie, lots of fun. Been really into 80s movies lately. So funny how they all use the same music and filming style.
