The past couple months we've been catching up on a most of the Marvel movies we never watched. Not even sure how to address these most were so bad and underwhelming.
Started going back through all the Tom Holland Spiderman movies. I remembered liking them more but really the 1st one seemed the best of the 3.
Thor Love and Thunder was god awful terrible.
Doctor Strange 2 was meh on the 3rd viewing
Black Panther 2 we barely lasted 30 minutes. It was just so bad, both of us immediately lost interest and had no investment in anything happening.
Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania we finished but didn't love. It really did start to feel like Kang was coming together, especially seeing as the movie was so central to developing him. I think knowing that the entire thing was completely dropped took away from caring about the movie.
Guardians 3 I still really dislike. The whole movie is just mean and angry, none of the original light heartedness or adventure. Everyone constantly yells at each other, everyone is sad.
Marvels we only lasted about 45 minutes with. The girl playing little Marvel was honestly really good and overshadowed Bri and angry black lesbian girl from Vision. We basically couldn't stand those two and lost interest again.
Deadpool and Wolverine we saw in the theater but skipped re-watching b/c of kids.
Captain American: Brave New World was horrible. It felt like a made for Disney straight to streaming movie and felt like Black Panther 3 there was so much rap. 4ft weird looking agent girl was distracting. Omega level Hulk smashing DC but actual Hulk and She-Hulk are just not even referenced "oh maybe we should ask the other two people who may know something about this?" Instead just act like they don't exist at all.
Started Thunderbolts last night but only about 15 minutes into it. Kind of like it so far.
Back-to-back-to-back like this is really a poor way to watch those movies. It becomes so tiresome with every movie being some McGuffin and some conspiracy. Nothing moves forward at all and there are no real compelling stories going on within them to distract from the item chase.
