You can find self empty ones for $120 occasionally on Woot, Shark brand. The base really helps if you have a lot of dirt, which my 2 dogs bring in every day.

I'm holding my breath for one that mops and self empties the water down the drain.

in regards to the miniyuka
set it all up last weekend. first cut is tomorrow at 9:30 am, and every saturday- unless raining at 9:30 i still have to move a few branches to clear the yard of winter debris.

will give a detaied review on how the cut went this weekend/mondayish.

the yuka has most of the options of the luba, just smaller.

review on setup..first

DO NOT PLAY WITH THE CUTTERS they are fucking Sharp!...nearly needed stitches when my hand slipped and i put an ~half inch deep slice thru my pinkie.

inital review on setup:

downloaded the app,,,,
my phone found both the gps antenna and the mower over bluetooth easily.
updated the gps & mower firmware...

installed the gps antenna off my deck:

There is only one way to screw in the antenna base sideways so that when the pole is screwed in the antenna is positioned correctly & no real way to tell which way it is without premarking the fucking thing, i did it wrong twice. third time was the charm other than that, installation was simple. screw in bluetooth antenna, screw in gps unit to pole, plug it in.
installing the mower base, 4 plastic screws that are 4" long screw into the dirt, took 2 minutes if that. easy.

using my phone, i then drove the mower around the yard perimeter making the maps and the paths to the base.. it all went fine very easy to do. control was easy on the phone, left thumb forward back, right thumb left right. the mower did catch on a bent fence picket but i was on manual mode so manual overrides the hey that is in the way part, that was my fault.
once i had both zones maps, and paths between zones and a route to the base, i had it automatically return to the base. it went fine though it went the long way to the base.

using the app from work i was able to connect to my mower. viewed the video over the internet and drove it a little bit just to see if i could,...i could.

so far thumbs up.

More. Mower has been running for a bit over an HR now. So far so good it cut around the tree in the middle of my front yard np. My lawn is 4000 SF according to the mapping. Total time to mow is 6 hours it is just finishing zone 1 the right side of my front yard which is about 650sf. Battery is at about 25% and at 15% it will go and recharge then resume.

Except for it being slower than I thought it would be, it is operating well. My front yard lawn is in Rough shape and it is the beginning of the year so I cannot tell how smooth it all will turn out but so far so good. At most I think I will have to run the trimmer against the fence and bush edges. It cuts its route in rows then at the end runs around the perimeter 4 times. To clean up the cut limits at the outside, I guess. it is doing perimeter of area 1 now. Battery just hit 15%..App put a paused marker on area 1 and mower is returning to charger, and will resume when battery recharged in an HR or so. Total run time ~90 minutes on one charge.

I do have to redo main path to charger. Area 2_overlaps main path and apparent "blocks" the route so mower will not go back to charge via that route but has to take the long way around.

Edit1: mower on 2nd charging phase about 30% done with lawn. 3.5 HR in 4 HR to go. so with charging time more like ~6 HR to go. Going to redo the starting time to 630 am.....

I am an absolutely lazy bastard, yes. Thank you for the product review. I will order one today.
btw i ordered this a week ago, idk why it took so long to arrive, maybe tarrifs, etc anyway
Replacement Parts for Shark RV2310AE AV2310AE Matrix Robot Vacuum Cleaner 1 Roller Brush 2 HEPA Filters 4 Foams 6 Side Brushes (NOT for RV2310) -Pack of 13
f5b86e4039d70325d4fcceab12cd6272.png

anyway i noticed the white cylinder is really dirty, this is the foam filter that sucks in the garbe in the robot to the bin, you can just wash it, but i run my robot daily (it's good for allergies) and it takes a day to dry so i wanted extra. i wanted to just find a combination of the white cylinder and the triangle hepa filters on the robot. this is about the only one that seemed priced right. all the parts are flush, so fitment isn't an issue, even the roller fits fine, my spinny brush did need to be replaced cuz it got caught somewhere, so theres that.

I broke down and bought the Luba 2 for my place. I very nearly boxed it back up and returned it - the day I was setting everything up, the app wasn't available in the google play store, it was set to early access.

I'm curious what you mean with the antenna mast - I threw it together not really paying attention to any instructions and everything seems fine. My house is in the center of my lawn and their setup guide called out mounting the RTK station to the roof, but it's working well in the back corner of my property.

Initial thoughts:

1. They advertise Airtag support. I assumed that meant they had a little secured provision for one. In reality, it just meant you can stuff one in. I had to take the camera back off to put in that cavity.

2. The setup was a little annoying - there's a tooltip that pops up every time you select the sequence you're doing, so, you have to remember to hit start after that. I kept hitting the option I wanted and started driving, then realizing I haven't created anything when I finished the loop. That tooltip should go away after the first time - I know what I selected and why. I also wish there was a way to set up a boundary zone without driving the robot there - I missed a flower bed and didn't want to stop mowing to add it, so, I just put up some pavers to block it. During the first mow, it got stuck in a spot and I had to redraw a boundary. I had to cancel the whole mow to do that.

3. They must have hired the file transfer guy from Microsoft for estimating completion time. It looks like doubling the initial estimate is roughly accurate.

4. It definitely can't handle mowing if the grass gets too high - I had a section in my backyard I had been neglecting and there are a lot of missed blades. There was also a patch it detected as an obstacle.

5. The app is a little finicky - while mowing it kept showing the mower as disconnected and wasn't providing status. I could see the mower doing its thing. If I then reselected the mower, it would eventually pull up status. FPV seems like it has a 50% success rate. I don't really see myself using that stuff very often once it's up and running, so, I don't care that much.

Overall, decent start with some teething issues.

Grass as an obstacle is funny
I use the term loosely, it was one of those huge clumps of crab grass. I need to re-seed that area and purge some of that shit.

Did a little reading of the manual this morning. I had the mower set to sensitive mode. They recommend turning that off in high grass - it overrides using the ultrasonic sensors and only uses the bumper for obstacles. Apparently they used to have a "high grass" pattern, but removed it for some reason. I set things up based on their description of the setting this morning and re-ran it this afternoon. Pretty much has cleaned up everything including that bastard crab grass clump. Estimated time vs reality was even shittier though.

Update for my Yuka-mini:
Frankly my lawn has never looked better,I have the cutter set at 2" and except by the edging and fence, where I have to use and edger, it has worked fine. a few hiccups when it got stuck on old edging I have since replaced but overall I am happy I have the mower running 2x a week

There have been severalupdates to the app since I got my yuka adding functionality, the app has added a cutting speed option that allows for 2x the original cutting speed added a new perimeter cut setting where you can change the number of passes from 1 to 4, a % done setting so you can start the cut anywhere from beginning to the very end,0-99%, and a few other settings for QOL using the app. My only beef is occasionally it will lose GPS lock. I did have long grass in back but after a few times running thru the yard with obstacle setting to normal the grass is all nice and even. Now I have to level the lawn to remove the bumps/smooth the lawn.

the 4g module Is arriving tomorrow, And I am building a garage for it..120 buck for a garage..I spent like 20 bucks and it will be almost as good.
