It's insane how expensive that card is for what it does. Total turd of a card.
It's actually the best form card imo, they're just all turds. 3 cost cards better win you the fight or suck your dick or both, paying 3 to do absolutely nothing the turn you play it is abysmal. Yes you can make shit like barricade or creative AI work and when it pops off it's absolutely amazing, but a highroll like that is gonna steamroll no matter what you base it around.

IC is much easier if you don't try to make bad cards like barricade and demon form work.

I can't get demon form to work unless it's VERY early I get it along with the lantern. I never bother. Barricade, the upgrade drops it to two...AND you need the 30+ armor card. That all needs to happen like before you're just past the 1st boss.

I feel like I'm getting "extra energy" relics less reliably than in StS1, but Onyxia could just be breathing deeply more often.

I only really liked the 3 cost yellow "build around" when I had 4-5 Energy round one to drop them and still do something

I think they toned down the amount of extra energy relics. I remember in 1 you almost always got at least 1 from a boss, now the bosses don't seem to give any at all that i've seen yet outside of the demon guy at start of act 3

I think demon form is considered a noob trap. costs too much, and takes way too long to scale. making it very inconsistent. if you get lucky and get a way to make it free and innate. great. but thats serious rng.
And even then, the build up is slow.

Compare it to reaper form above. same cost. in that build it was just free damage basically. and its scales into your existing build, essentially doubling all your damage.

had a strong ironclad run. strikes. 0 ascent..
but still. stared with transforming a strike. I forget, what I got. something I ended up removing iirc.
got a perfected strike on the first enemy, and decided on strikes. this build is built on perfected strike x1 or2, and pommel strikes. then hellraiser. that came from the first boss, and the build was just busted with that. (hellraiser is a power that auto plays Strikes when drawn for free.) so this, combined with pommel strike and a lean deck just goes nuts. will just cycle till it runs out of strikes. so you do need to cut out the trash.
inflame dead weight. I had other cards I took, but removed. stuff that sounded good, but got in the way of the cycle.
shrug it off blocks are still good. high block, and draw, which can fuel the cycle.
cascade is 50/50. great when it works, other times is a dead card. giving +1, so it always does something is great.

I still took alot of hits. so, this would be rough in higher ascends.

fast run though. turn 2 or3 wins, depending on if I got hellrasier on turn 1 or not.
