I fully expect them selling the IP's that might be worth something (EQ, Planetside,...), run what is recently released on a skeleton crew for a few weeks (to see if it's going to make a buck) to find other buyers for less established IP's (H1z1) and then sell that too and close the studio down.

Original EverQuest Lore was created by Bill Trost, based primarily off of his old D&D campaigns. Quite a bit of the implications of that lore - including the layouts of Freeport and other zones - were ripped off from a text-based MUD called Sojourn, that was played extensively by Brad McQuaid. And when I say "ripped off" I mean they took the actual maps and put in graphics instead of "room descriptions."

A lot of talented people lost their jobs. It's nothing to joke about, I know.
However, You know who was also forced to lie for their company? Tiggs, the SWG community manager, about the NGE. Basically she was hired to kill the game, didn't like that, and spoke out about it.
She was escorted out of the building by police, one of the most humiliating things you can do when 'laying someone off'. So pardon me if I am a bit skeptical that it's what you were actually told, and that you're not just saying that to keep your job.

Companies do not give employees warning that they are going to lay them off. Want to know why? Because they are afraid those employees will sabotage, steal, fuck up anything they can. You simply do not give warning that you are getting rid of people. Saying a guy is lying based on feels is nonsense.
