That part wasn't CGI fyi. They showed the making of it or someone posted a video of them in the town doing it. Can't recall what one, but ya slow.

Reading the movie reviews feels like a whole bunch of hipster fucking film critic snobs trying to show how sophisticated they are. Fuck that, if this movie has good action and is a 7-8 out of 10 then I am down with that. Had a friend see it tonight and said it wasn't Skyfall or Casino Royale but it was entertaining. Planning on seeing it tomorrow.

I liked it. Not sure what people's issue is.

It's not the best bond movie, but it's far from the worst.

Waltz was awesome, easily my favorite part of the movie.

It did reference Quantum and Skyfall, and I honestly could not remember the plot for Quantum at all....didnt really detract from my enjoyment though. Probably worth re-watching Skyfall.

Quantum's plot was about privatizing the water supply to sell to poor countries so that they would owe favors to the bad organization. This movie didn't directly involve that plot, but it mentioned the women in Bond's previous films. At least the women in the Craig films.

Should I watch it with the gang or Mrs. Izo? What's the nerd-to-tits-ratio?

Absolutely no tits. There's definitely "romance" in this one. A little more relationshippy than Casino Royale. Mrs. would like it, but the gang would love it. Entirely up to you.

Saw this last week with the wife and kids, very good film, not amazing but no Bond film is. Well worth a watch for the opening sequence alone. You obviously have your "really" moments the same as in any bond movie and the plot can be destroyed very easily if you want to but you know what you are getting with bond, don't go in there expecting anything but your typical Bond moive and you will enjoy it.

I've been a big fan of the entire Craig era. They've been my "favorite Bond" since Casino Royal first came out. I really enjoy a more badass Bond than a dainty Bond that can shoot a gun. Craig seems like he could beat your ass without much trouble.

As far as the girls, this movie had 3. A dark haired one in the very beginning that was hot, an older one that was sexy, but definitely old (50's), and the hotish blonde. The blonde was great to look at except when she opened her mouth. Her teeth had these tiny gaps that kept throwing me off. I'm only really aware of them because I'm currently using InvisAlign to fix my own gaps, but it was enough to annoy me.

Monica was gorgeous as always but there was really only one seen where she wasn't fully dressed and it was over super fast.

this movie was not on the level of Skyfall or Casino royale. I would rank it even with Quantam. lots of cheesiness, the Bond girl wasn't that hot, they tried to hornshoe a lot into the plot here from other movies that didn't really make sense and wasn't given the attention it deserved. probably would have worked better as two movies.

this one was probably the most relatively straight forward of the new bond films. nothing fancy at all. Here's the bad guy. we've retconned him being the big bad behind everything you've ever done. he's going to kill you, go kill him.

And he was fucking awesome.

Bond girl was meh, car scene was meh. The intro part in Mexico was pretty good.

This movie was way too long. The action was mostly good (I especially loved the fight scene on the train), but between action scenes it really dragged. I liked it, but it was my least favorite of Daniel Craig's Bond films.
