That was probably originally put in to account for marvel/disney kids programming. Marvel owns/creates the animated Spidey and his amazing friends shows that get a lot of airtime on Disney Jr as well as other kids animations that include Sony owned characters.

So far I have enjoyed most of the Spiderman movies, but from the trailer I see these log jamming Hollywood faggot parasite buttfuckers are suffering from the same retardation they eventually do with all of these Superhero movies and that is overload them with too many fucking villains and plots.
1 Movie 1 Villain that's really all you need to fucking do. Christopher Nolan Batmans pretty much focused on one at a time. Yes the first one had Scarecrow which they should have dropped but it was mainly
Ra's al ghul who did absolutely nothing wrong and Batman being butthurt and faggot about it.
2 Was Joker v Batman
and 3 was pretty much Bane v Batman yeah they threw Talia in there but it was stupid and worthless to the movie

Surprised how dead this thread is compared to some others
Also kind of surprised how well this film is tracking box office wise. Both Europe and North America are tracking to have monsters debuts in line with Infinity Wars and NWH if only a touch lower (opening weekend -- I'm sure total will be much lower simply because of no holiday and school opening back up). I really didn't think that was going to be on the menu given how lackluster most of the marvel portfolio has been for a while.
If this film really does do as well as it's projected it could be the most valuable thing for Doomsday as it leaves a good last taste in people's mouths when it comes to the MCU.

why though? 1. don't we always bitch about trailers spoililng too much?
2. also the previous movies had some serious bullshit. this trailer had to address the insane bullshit, multiverse mind wipe to try to get people up to speed with the story so far.
thats going to be this movies real challenge of course. telling a good story, but also trying to course correct on the insanity of the last movie. which is going to be tough, as the new stuff is going to be constantly overshadowed by the old.
