also if anyone wants a mecha show with some massive fucking whiplash in tonal shifts and blatant homoeroticism, i'd recommend Brave Bang Bravern. i don't even know how to describe what happens in the show other than it's an experience.
A lot of that show takes place maybe 30 minutes away from my house. Some much closer. I kinda enjoyed it, but it got silly after a while. I don't think I actually watched the end.

So Mitsudomoe would break the minds of most of our forum. This is to your credit, as it is choc full of dirty lolicon stuff.

But I swear I've lost 10 pounds in tears watching the first few episodes. I laugh till I cry and nearly asphyxiate.

Just watched this week's Kono Suba. Darkness always looks good, but she fits the wedding dress quite nicely.

Finally caught up to slime after taking 3 watches to get into. Mediocre, but very funny at times. It's basically reverse overlord.

Finally giving Konosuba a shot and can already tell this is a level of degeneracy I can get behind. Last anime this funny for me was bungo stray dogs.

The proper introduction to anime is via movies.

Ninja Scroll
Ghost in the Shell
Akira

or if you really want to set the bar to unobtainable levels start with the old version of

Berserk

Oh yeah, absolutely knocked it out of the park on the animation, but they pushed the knife in all the way.

So how far past the manga is the Tensei anime now? The last manga issue I read had Rudy taking care of his sisters and making the decision to stay at school until Sylvi has their baby, via advice from the Human God (Rudy wanted to go help find his mother). The last anime episode I watched was ep14... seems like a lot has had to happen in the following 8 episodes.

This season has been very hard to keep up with for me. Tons of good stuff. Tensei was absolutely brutal and his mom waking up sounding like a mental invalid just makes the whole thing even worse. Need to get with my buddy Gavin and start reading the LNs.
