Now that I have my other classes reasonably up to speed I was trying out the specialist. God damn their starting gun is hot garbage. Getting 50 kills with that thing is going to take a while. It does just enough damage to make people duck for cover but rarely enough to get a kill. The counter sniping by people who have sniper guns that CAN kill you gets pretty ferocious.

That is one really loopy thing the group/squad thing is really fucking weird this go around. Not a big deal for me but it is really weird. Again something I am not sure why they did not just keep with the battlefront 1 grouping pal thing.

That's one of the really weird things.
I don't want to shit all over anyone else's enjoyment and I am admittedly not a frequent battlefront player, but this is one of the most shallow games I've played. Sounds & visuals are great, everything else got boring pretty quick. Both of us were really bored of it within an hour.

Its not a great game, nothing stands out as outstanding in a gaming sense.
Its just a star wars skin for what is barely above a f2p shooter with a pretty large player base (for now) on console, thats pretty much the only reason to play - you love star wars

these two posts being back to back (i know there's a few days between them) really solidify what's wrong with the audience today.
"i am SOOOO disappointed with this movie/game/book/tv show/album! the direction it's going is completely downhill and unsalvageable... i'mma buy and support it anyway."

With the initial momentum of release
and ´´newness’´ factor, one could maybe be forgiven for buying this. But now, its just plain dumb. I know i would enjoy maybe 10 or so hours of it but for a game built around mp, thats abysmal and a pathetic delivery for a tripple A title.
This game deserves to be in the discount bin already ( if they still exist in this digital age).
Am really happy it keeps showing up in all the worst games of 2017 reviews am reading.

Well, I LOVE Star Wars. Its like that review someone posted in the movie thread where that Roz guy laid out why he hated the movie.
He made great points by saying that TFA had set the table for the audience. They introduced elements that lead the viewer to believe that certain events were either important, or had more to them. In TLJ Johnson just absolutely trashes everything JJ had set up in order to create this high brow emotional thrill ride with spectacular visuals and deep character development (in the way you didnt imagine, like the trailers tagline from Luke "This isnt going to go the way you THINK!!!").
Did we as fans expect this? No. So, hey he succeeded in that. He took this thing in a direction no one could have guessed. The problem is he cut off his nose to spite his face, as the decisions made were extremely fucking retarded. Luke felt self-guilt due to traumatic experiences doing Jedi things, he goes into self imposed exile.....YET LEAVES A MAP HOW TO FIND HIM AND FUCKING DIES BECAUSE OF IT. Snoke is this mysterious character that fans are salivating over, really gnashing their teeth over the rule of two, and trying to figure him out etc......YET HE DIES WITH LESS THAN 5 MINUTES OF SCREENTIME WITH NO BACKSTORY AS TO WHO HE IS OR WAS. Reys parents and connection to Kylo leave fans on the edge of their seat, wondering where this force sensitive new girl character is from.....ONLY TO FIND OUT SHE IS A NOBODY AND NO ONE ACTUALLY CARES LOL.
I can go on and on, but as far as the game goes, I usually take this boards advice when it comes to buying games. I have been reading your guys' posts for years and years. This game is probably bad. The reviews are bad. The micro transactions are bad. But I just want some fucking Star Wars in my life. I jumped around with Yoda in hero mode for like 10 minutes last night and fucking absolutely wrecked Maul and his Vader buddy like 5 or 6 times and I had ZERO clue when I was doing. It was pretty fun, yet stupid, which encapsulates both this game and movie. If your a Star Wars fan I think you have to just give them your money. And yea I am part of the problem, but its like a drug addict wanting more of the drug hes addicted to. You think they stop buying when it starts to turn bad? No, they fucking buy MORE because they need it and want it.
They are the ones that introduced me to Star Wars (not Disney obviously) and goddamnit I want to continue to enjoy it. I bought the game and I think its worth the 35$ just for the kids I wrecked with Yoda last night no bullshit.
