My last experience viewing a SW movie involved 2 hours of watching space ships chase each other, the 2nd waiting for the 1st to run out of fuel. Leia floated through space, much like any fucks I gave about the franchise.

I also vaguely remember a fat asian chick and a black dude doing some shit which didn't matter in the slightest.

All of the admirals and officers getting choked out by Vader in the OT was less about them being completely bumbling idiots (some of the mistakes were pretty basic ones), and more about making Vader scary in that he offs people for the slightest mistake or delay that he dislikes. That's why none of those comparisons fit whatsoever with them writing a joke they think is supposed to be funny to kids involving Poe and Hux. It was misplaced and silly.

None of those examples were a lone X wing pilot chilling in front of a major battleship attempting to "troll" the head of the Imperial military. Try again Scream. Major reason why the rest of those examples worked and the Poe/Hux one didn't.

That's exactly what you're doing, but in reverse trying to justify it as not bad. Doing so with bad examples, and outright incorrect facts from the Original Trilogy to boot. I even stated in my first response to you it wasn't even nearly the worst thing about the movie, just definitely a cringe moment that was a warning for what was to follow.

So TLJ made made over 700 million less than TFA(Rogue v. Force Awakens v Last Jedi) and Solo is actually going to be the first Star Wars films to lose money('Solo' is expected to lose Disney at least $50 million, and become the first 'Star Wars' movie to lose money). I'll hold judgement until the final trilogy flick comes out, but if it also loses money, I think we can confirm a trend at that point? Is that the next Star Wars film coming out?

I'm not trying to say it wasn't bad. It was. I already said I put it at the bottom of Star Wars movies (it and TPM are SO close in badness), but that doesn't mean I am not going to enjoy it and the lore and the stories it tells.

Let's do this. You tell me something you genuinely liked about TLJ and I will tell you something I genuinely didn't like about it.
