I wanted to like it. If there was less fan stuff like Finn v. Brienne of Tarth, and the little fuzzy yelling as Chewbacca does...

I don't know, focus on the Luke and the kids story line.

That seemed a bit spoilery. Have to wonder how much of it is misdirect though.

if Luke doesn't pull off some baddass jediness, i will be extremely pissed. his best friend was killed, appears his sister was killed, if he doesn't "return" on them, star wars will be dead to me.

Wow, that was a stunning trailer. It's crazy how much emotion the right music can stir up.

Did it look to anyone else like they CGI'd Chewbacca's face when he grrrr'd in the cockpit of the Falcon?

Not that it will ever happen, but it would truly be amazing if they wrecked shop together and were now the main villain team at the end.

The amount of misdirection in that trailer is hard to wade through. (Kylo kills his mom! - except we know Leia was supposed to be major in 9, so unless they redid the ending of that scene and no one's behavior was altered as a result for the rest of the movie, that's not the case.)

The one scene that does stick out is Rey arching her back. I would guess the major backstory in 8 is Snoke's corruption of Kylo, so Rey (who will be portrayed as vengeful/not in full control) will take a run against Snoke solo and get knocked the fuck out, leading us to wonder just how turned she'll by the start of 9.

Too much to process, to many possible meanings for it all. Going to try to avoid watching any more of these trailers or the endless speculation about the details for the next 2+ months. Its difficult to avoid clicking when you see that "new Star Wars trailer" everywhere you look online.

Too much nonsense poetry in that trailer for me. Kylo Ren vader tie fighter pilot scene, training incomplete no don't go, can't train you reluctant old hermit master, etc. I just hope it's not as awful trashy cgi fest as that trailer makes it look.

Yeah as a misdirect that one is aimed at the more casual movie goer who doesn't really follow any of the news attached to the production. For those who do it's intended to make you wonder does he follow through on that and actually try.

Completely forgot about pre ordering up until an hour ago. Everything sold out within 15 miles around me until I noticed a second choice on Fandango "SW TLJ Fan event". 6pm showtime, Imax 3d free popcorn and swag but 32 bucks a ticket. I'm sure it's location based, but just a heads up for people like me who are late to the pre order, seems people are missing this option only 15 seats taken when I purchased.

Also thought trailer was kinda meh as well. The Force Awakens got me way more hyped personally.
