I get the not taking DC comics too seriously but it felt like watching a 2 hour roast of superman more than a movie.

Just finished it. What a crap movie. Nothing about it felt right or cohesive. Fat country bumpkin Jonathon and Martha? Some random scrambled message from Jor El and the world goes crazy? Actually it isn’t even worth all the complaining. How disappointing.

Thanks, Dick; it's not a "fake affectation", I do it when I make a substantial alteration after initially posting to note that its not an "edit" per se, for grammar/spelling/wording of the same content but an addition of new content. I could just say "Edit" but that doesn't capture the spirit of what I am doing as precisely as I like. Sorry you don't like it but guess what? I don't care. I could write in a completely different style and send it to you for approval before I post it but I am not doing that, either. Hope that helps.

In any case, your attempt to "capture the spirit" fails because reading "fake edit" makes it seem like you had it as part of your original post, especially when your "fake edit" is half the post. Fake implies it was not an edit in any sense when you actually intend otherwise. Edit perfectly encapsulates what you think "fake edit" does, as many people use that when adding new content to a post.

I really had no idea what fake edit meant until you spelled it out, but I guess that makes sense. I have been calling that "quick edit" to denote that it was made before the forum put an "Edited at" timestamp at the bottom.

My apologies, I guess I am idiosyncratic in my writing (and many other things) in middle/old age. I didn't feel right to have people potentially quoting/responding to something that wasn't there but then was immediately added effectively extending the writing process beyond the initial posting. Sometimes I just have to get it on the page as it were but then think of points or things need to be added, but people could be responding to the initial post. I wasn't trying to "affect" anything but rather to more accurately describe where that came in my writing process.

If you played DCUO, honestly one of the greatest MMOs superhero wise ever, apart from COH, Lex Luthor wore that power armor. I'm guessing it was from the comics?
I don't know anything about it, and nor do I care, but I just find that pretty funny.

The green and purple power armor for Luthor has been a recurring thing in several iterations of the character. Even on the old SuperFriends Saturday morning cartoon he rolled a purple and green outfit while running the Legion of Doom, which was odd since the joker does the same color scheme.
