Seems like a shitty start to me.
Idol paranoia on day two.
Alan lands into a power 4 on day one, day 2 he decides he wants to be a shit disturber and blow it up cause "power couple", day 3 throws his alliance under the bus at tribal but goes along with the plan to vote out one of the moms.
New idol being used, can only use it in first tribal after the votes, cool. It gets sent to Chrissy who goes along with the power 4 to blindside her only ally anyways, idol has no impact and probably won't ever return.
Not really anyone interesting to pick for going long into the game yet.

I liked the idea of the idol that is only useable at the first tribal but it's not surprising that it wouldn't get used unless the person getting voted out had it. There is no alliance worth sticking your neck out for at the first tribal. Still better than waiting the whole season for it to be a nothing burger though.
I don't know what Alan was trying to do with his super aggressive idol accusations but getting people to actually consider voting out an NFL player at the first tribal is kind of an accomplishment I guess.

I think it's interesting that whenever they decide to break the contestants up into groups, the people all the sudden start identifying themselves with those traits immediately. "Yeah, as a brainy kind of guy, I'm going to play this way." "We're all healers, so we're definitely good at communication."
It's like they forget that they were whatever they were before they were put on the tribe. That, or they're coached and I'm sad at the manipulation.
Anyway, this seems to continue the trend of a black person acting completely irrational and blowing up their own game. Seriously, every single season, first three days, a black person does this. It's bizarre. At first I thought it was some master plan (in his confessional he mentioned "they're going to think I'm acting crazy") but he just kept going with it to the complete detriment of his game. No, you're not some master manipulator, you're just fucking retarded. People aren't going to want to put up with a nutjob no matter how athletic they are.
