This is all true, although not sure what hysterics you think I'm going through. I'm saying they look at us and are just like "yeaaaahhhh, maybe give 'em another hundred years or so". We're not quite there yet.
Maybe they will exterminate the third world as proof of their good intentions.

Just looks like an imaging artifact (or something passing in front of the camera when the image was captured) to me.

Holy shit, there it is.

The screw I dropped in my garage that I couldn't find and had to drive to Home Depot to replace. I knew it was somewhere.

How many SpaceX launches could they have bought for a $1bill? :emoji_thinking:

$150M for 63,800 kg (140,700 lb) to LEO or 26,700 kg (58,900 lb) to GTO (fully expendable) ,or $95M for 90% of its maximum capacity in 2018 - Wikipedia

I think the common thought is its about 2k / kg . . . so the answer is, a lot.

Hopefully JWST will have something to say about that next year.
Hopefully. Because that's one program that's also horribly overbudget, to the point where it is probably the cause of cancellation or rejection of a few smaller programs that would have been good and worthwhile science.

But not to the same point as the SLS, I agree.

Conditions for today's launch look favorable.

Not only is the launch going to carry the prototypes for a new satellite based internet thing that Musk wants to try out, but they're also making another attempt at catching the fairings via Mr. Stevens:
