Utnayan Utnayan im pretty much waiting as I hope you are as well. If they magically pull something out of their ass with E3 that is great for us all. Having a Scorpio would be fantastic but If all they have is Sea of Thieves, Crackdown, and "Coming soon with ETA 2019", I'm just going to upgrade the PC.


Also I'm pretty sure you shit all over Quantum Break lol.

I loved it up to the point of a game breaking bug that caused me (and reportedly 10% of players)to lose my save before the last chapter.

Nope. In fact I created the OP for it. I did however wonder why (For one post) it was being shit on in reviews and then said it bombed. Then I played it. I did say Microsoft sucks, and they still do currently.

Crackdown 3 without a release date is making me trade my XB1 for any store credit because it hasn't been turned on for anything but the kids playing mine craft in a year or two.

Yeah I can get $150 for this dust collector right now. Original X1 500 gb.

Not even sure why I bought it. Everything about it sucks ass. UI responsiveness, games, you name it. Most everyone I know has migrated to PS4 as well.

Well I implore you to wait like me until June's E3. Like Spronk, I got tons of BC games that will rock on the Scorpio's spec but god damnit we need games. It's just if MS doesn't step it up then I'm just putting my Scorpio money towards my annual Halloween Vegas trip.


I got banned off the Reddit for making fun of Sea of thieves too. Lol

The reality is I probably wouldn't turn it in before June out of laziness anyways. Here's the thing though. Crackdown has no release date now which means June they would announce 6 months minimum for a holiday release at the earliest. Not going to wait that long probably.

I honestly can't remember the last time I turned on my X1. It was before the big UI update they did awhile back. It's in Atari Jaguar territory for me in terms of console purchases. Heck, it's even worse. I still have some fond memories of the good exclusives on my Jaguar, but not so much on the X1 because there really aren't any exclusives on the system that appeal to me.

Utnayan Utnayan the new update got rid of that shit snap and the UI is super quick now.

Not that it matters fixing that shit 3 years later. It may be quick but it's all over the place.

The 360 UI still wrecks both PS4 and Xbone UI. I just want competition and I'm not going to defend these horrific decisions any longer. Either Phil turns it around in June or his new name is John Smedley the 2nd.

Yeah it still wasn't snappy for me when I logged in the other day. Controller input still lagged by 200ms (Game mode on and I am going through the Xbox to my receiver, not the Xbox tethered via HDMI for TV functionality) and was still very clunky with response. This was also after power cycling and clearing the cache.

I was tempted to get a One S but the complete lack of shit to play sways me(I already have a high end gaming PC). Maybe if there are some actual exclusives for Scorpion, I'll consider it.

I think the dream scenario would be MS actually keeps pushing on their Win/Xbox platform unity thing and get to see stuff like Crackdown 3 playable on Win10, or games from Win10 being playable on the Xbox. It's the only way I see the Xbox library being robust enough to move units, regardless of how beastly the hardware sounds.

I have some Seanclone friends going apeshit about it on Facebook, spouting shit like "lol, take that PCMR". All it takes, apparently, is a claim from an official source that a console with - what is it? a gtx 1070? - will run games 4k native at 60fps. Doesn't matter that they were mercilessly hammering the Xbone a week earlier for its lack of exclusives.

The problem is exclusivity. Putting games on windows killed any reason people will want to get a Xbox over PS4. This windows 10 thing is a joke. The app is atrocious and I only know this because I'm a complete achievement whore. It's like they went full retard after 360's beautiful store.

Checkerboard 2160p30 is much more realistic for graphics-intensive AAA games. They certainly won't get even close to 60, so whatever leftover power there is will likely just go to lighting models, shadow resolution, maybe some better SSAO.

Why the fuck anyone cares about 4K anyway, when they could have 1080p60 or possibly even 1440p60-ish in some less intensive games is beyond me.

Because it's fucking beautiful, that's why. It's one of things I've hated about consoles for many years, they lag so far behind the PC in fidelity that moving from one to the other is painful. Thank God for the PS4 Pro and Scorpio, hopefully this is the way consoles go for the foreseeable future.

That's why I built a budget PC that can only do 1080p and only own a 1080p TV. Lower expectations, less disappointment, and still happy with my regular PS4.
