I've never understood the appeal of sim racers like Forza and GT. They get so boring for me after like 2 races.
I like them but I agree they are SEVERELY lacking on features to keep the game interesting. Especially Forza

I've been seeing some quotes of reliable people quoting parts costs for PS4 at $279 or so - low enough he thinks that they could do $299 or $349 in fact! And that same person was quoting parts for XBone at $447 or something where he expected $499 - which seems to have come true...
I don't think $399 is unlikely at all. $349 seems unlikely since PS3 hasn't dropped in price yet having them $50 apart seems off.
I'm a big car and motorsports fan, go to track days when I can and just love cars. Most of the ppl I know that are hardcore GT or Forza fans are car guys first, gamers second.
If I didn't love cars, I would think it is pretty boring too. Most ppl don't give a shit about driving a Porsche GT3 around Silverstone raceway... But I can do that for hours in gt/forza and love every minute of it

Very fair. I'm just surprised how large a cross-section there is between car enthusiasts and gamers. Although I suppose sim racers are more about relaxing and just driving instead of really hardcore "gaming."
If Sony can come out the gate at 399 or lower I think they have this in the bag... Only thing that worries me is Sony's financial situation. They can't afford to sell at a loss I don't think.

Well do keep in mind, there is a chance for a price drop on PS3's announced today as well - but yea without dropping PS3's price down to $199 I don't see $299 happening even if they could afford it.

Shrug, heard that in the past - but remember tech keeps rolling along and it's stayed steady at $300 for quite a while now - they probably have some wiggle room but thats entirely just theorycrafting on my part, no idea of the reality of how much they have.

Wow what a fail for microsoft. and the sad thing is that they seem not to give a shit that this generation their console will not sell. Its like they are so sure of themselves after barely squeaking out a victory over the Ps3 last gen. They only got a slight foothold and now it will be squandered again. What fools. I dont know who the fuck is calling the shots wit this shit, but my guess is that they are about to be fired soon. Because this shit is cringe worthy.
