.All I had to see is that CoD gives me a dog and Im sold on the xbone. Yes Im that shallow.
Seriously though, PS4, step up and be more pro-canine.
My 20 month old son has called audibles in NCAA/Madden w/ his babbling. One of my friends has a Kinect, and he has to unplug it every time we hang out at his place. People constantly yell commands at it just to fuck with whoever is playing games/watching tv/etc.
It's usually pretty funny, but I can see people getting pissed if the old Halo-type tournaments come back and people mess with it.
That is the opposite of accidental commands triggering it=POne of my friends has a Kinect, and he has to unplug it every time we hang out at his place. People constantly yell commands at it just to fuck with whoever is playing games/watching tv/etc.

Really they just need to tune it to a keyword to trigger it. "Shitsipper! Xbox redtube search nugget porn"Well it's either going to be "long commands to the point of being useless" (like the above you imply) since longer commands will require more memorization of stupid script to talk to the system (plus longer input time) and more chances for the voice recognization to screw up at one or more points which makes it pointless compared to something like a Harmony remote or it's going to be too simplistic and subject to being "too sensitive".
Looking back at it now, the quote in my post was not relevant... not sure why I put it there. My post was supposed to be a comment about how requiring Kinect to use the Xbox is stupid. That is the opposite of accidental commands triggering it=P
I do not get this at all. Why does any Indie dev need a publisher in this day and age? Publishers are going the way of the do-do in the digital download age. They are not needed. This really frustrates me with MS.Other shoe drop #4: No self-publishing / indie games.
Huge plus for the PS4 there. The more news that leaks out the better and better PS4 looks.Other shoe drop #4: No self-publishing / indie games.
Considering how they did it with original Kinect I don't think the "add your own word" thing is going to be used - I was more addressing the personal voice recognition which does seem possible but horsepower requiring.I don't think adding a single word to the list of words it is already constantly monitoring will bog it down.
Yeah I don't get that shit. The games have to go through whatever quality control/compatibility testing they do before it hits the market, after that it's just out there and earning them money and possibly getting good little developers on their side when they go on to bigger and better things. What's the fucking hold up here?Other shoe drop #4: No self-publishing / indie games.
And on the "add your own word" thing that could be very hit or miss should they implement it, which I'd put the odds at close to zero.
Clearly the X-1 is being made as a big handjob fest for the big developers - why should they not continue the trend and cut out anyone that's a small fry?I do not get this at all. It's why I'm attracted to the PS4. Most Indie devs don't cater their shit to the masses they cater their stuff to their "Vision". I will say I've enjoyed more Indy games in the last couple years than the cookie cutter FPS games that have been churned out this genre by a huge margin. Most Indy Devs have original ideas is what I'm getting at basically while 99% of FPS are so friggn' stale.Clearly the X-1 is being made as a big handjob fest for the big developers - why should they not continue the trend and cut out anyone that's a small fry?
Somebody should let the Xbros know because they have no idea.Call of Duty: Dogs is on PS4 anyway.
Microsoft needs to lay off with that fake cheering they keep doing. It was way too obvious that no one in that crowd was cheering and it was either a voice track or a separate room with a mic and people told to cheer.
I don't like using "Vision" like that, but I certainly agree with your statement otherwise. Using "Vision" like that implies Brad McQuaid style "Vision" to me which wasn't all roses.
