I really wanted to like this game, but I'm going to try for Ut's refund deal. Thanks for that tip. I emailed support who asked for my secret word and account email. I played a good 30 hours so even without a refund, no biggie but I'm definitely not making it through three months.

The game just can't hold my attention enough. It's not super buggy, and the RVR has some good points, but right now the underlying game itself just doesn't do it for me.

Maybe TESO will get better with VRs/Adventure Zones/endgame stuff but I just don't have a desire to pay a sub to play this long enough to get there. It's not terrible and has potential but right now it just doesn't feel MMO enough for me, and the RVR seems to be missing something.

To me what does it, beyond the buggy quests and loading screen and bank bugs, is the atrocious pvp. It's just so unresponsive. I spend more time CCd than anything else, I don't think immunities are working right. Any time it's a small 1v1 or 2v2, it's just CC after CC, with no feedback as to why something didn't fire off. I just got ganked on the way to the all call, and realized I'm actually wasting my time with anymore time spent in game. I tried, I'll see you guys for the next one! lol

I'm not going to ask for a refund, but I'm not going to sub past 2 months. That'll get me through 2 classes and 2 factions of 98% solo content. I think Zeni are absolutely delusional to think this is a viable sub-based game. There is absolutely nothing justifying it. While I like the PvE group content, nothing I've seen indicates any kind of serious progression or long term sub-justifying viability to it.

PvP is fun when the stars align, but at least on our campaign Cyrodill is Red all day every day (I'm Eboheart Pact) and the other factions have pretty much thrown in the towel and don't even try any more. Granted I'm in a pretty organized guild, but things are getting pretty bad. PRX needs to come guest again and whoop our asses some.

I do like the classes and many of the mechanics at the core, but the game has like a thousand small and extremely annoying bugs, design decisions, and other WTFs that individually you could laugh off but collectively make you want to tear your hair out. If I have to listen to a banker tell us to not step behind the counter one more time or he'll have to call the guards (while never actually doing so), while a hundred monkeys audibly scratch their asses and having to listen to the entire life story of an argonian every time I have to bank together with roughly seventy five other people in a single 5'x7' room I'm gonna lose it.

Well, maybe I already did. It sucks because shit can be pretty fun at times.

Epic scroll run, Cinge. I think that was the first scroll run where we had control of the scroll but it wasn't guaranteed that we'd get it. For those not there, we had taken the Mmen scroll but some militia nabbed it and jumped into some nearby lava. We then went after the other yellow scroll and Cinge got it from Ft. Warden, then about 40 of us ran south while 60 blue were on our tail. We eventually defended it at Rayles and once we wiped the blue we ran the scroll down.

Uh oh, maybe they have new marching orders, too many refunds being requested maybe?

Even if I stopped playing, I don't think I could ask for a refund for any game I got more then 40 hours of play time in and this one is pushing 100+, seems like such a douchebag move. I could maybe see for people who got only a few hours in and couldn't stand it.

Should of saw the hate tells and in /say around me when I stopped in that keep to wait for you guys to kill off people like you told me :p I said "Sorry following RL instructions" and it was a tirade of "well your RL sucks", "Fuck your RL", "MOVE YOUR ASS" etc, back at me.

Yeah I'm not gonna play it anymore, but I'm not gonna ask for a refund either. I got enough playtime to warrant the purchase. Quest bugs, inventory/selling system and UI just did me in. But the music, lore/quest writing and graphics were fantastic.

Heh, if you don't like the game and / or feel you've got robbed / cheated because there are bots, dupes, bugs during some MMO launch and you don't want to install an inventory addon, asking for a refund seems like the right choice. I mean Utnayan had insider info and access to beta and he felt robbed enough to ask for a refund. Could have happened to anyone.

I don't know a single person, out of a social circle of mostly gamers, who was willing to touch this with a ten foot pole. This is people who normally buy every major MMORPG that comes out.

Hana I can imagine. We lost a scroll once because the raid following us chewed through our flanks slowly but surely until we were overrun. I didn't want that to happen.

I'm hoping it's luck of the draw, like calling DirecTV. I haven't heard back from my request from noon yesterday.

Cinge, I played maybe 35 hours. I don't mind if they aren't giving refunds, but I don't feel too bad about not being satisfied with a digital product a few weeks after release and asking for a refund. That's not like the douchebags asking for refunds four months after buying GW2 and playing it 100+ hours.

I think I might be cancelling but not asking for a refund. I cannot play PvP without bugging out within an hour. Last night I started moving incredibly slowly then crashed three times). I'm not going to ask for a refund because I had an enjoyable time leveling up and doing the three major quest lines.

So... Interesting turn of events.

Right in the middle of my refund, which has still not hit my account, I noticed the day before someone had attempted to request a password change to my TESO account which landed in my email box. For some gaming things, I use a gaming email address, and for TESO registration.

My TESO account has now been officially somehow hacked. Along with my email account. There is literally no way this happens this coincidentally. I do not log in from remote computers, I use different passwords on everything, and now I will be on the phone with Zenimax support trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Never been hacked in my life. Something is up with this fucking game, I guarantee you. With all the other shit going on, if anyone is still playing change your passwords, make sure nothing matches with the TESO account and anything else, in fact, I would change your email address to some random yahoo account that isn't tied to anything else.

What a clusterfuck this is.

Be careful with all your confidential payment information. These fucking people have no idea what they are doing. And I suppose good luck to me trying to get a compromised yahoo email account back....

If you had played an FPS 35 hours and returned it, would it still feel right? I mean, I understand not liking the game and not continuing but the first month is almost over; retail launch was 3 weeks ago today. I am not calling you out on it but refunds at this point would be stretching it to me, and by "stretching it" I mean I would never do that.

Moral of the story: don't surf free porn sites and get your computer infected with a virus.

If you got the email notification from ZOS that someone was trying get a password change for your TESO account the day before you requested a refund, how exactly are those related events?

Oh Jesus Christ stop the defending bullshit. You have a God Damn excuse for everything to deflect from ZO. There is * No * chance I was hacked other than something through their service. Nothing else was effected. Only this email account, only this game. Period. I have never been hacked, nor will ever again. Have multiple emails for multiple game registrations, with multiple passwords across different auth schemes. The very fact that somehow this is the game that was hacked at the same exact time I was requesting a refund the day after a mysterious email comes in saying I was trying to change my password (Which I didn't click) and both the email registration and TESO account both get hacked at the exact same time...

Give me a break.

At least you can do yourself the genuine defending service of blaming the SSL Sercurity hole that they won't be able to allocate resources to fix because they are so fucking busy trying to make sure guild banks hold their items in them.
