I used to think I might be a libertarian but the more you get into it the more you realize that libertarians and Anarcho capitalists are just as much simple minded delusional utopians as socialists and communists.

Read up on the gilded age when factories and mines were dumping industrial waste directly into the rivers and 10 year olds were working 16 hour days and going home to sleep on a concrete floor in an apartment with 16 other people if you want to know what happens when the capitalists get to do whatever they want.

What's funny is that the libertarians have the same excuse as the socialists for the failures of their systems. "It was because of corruption!'. "That wasn't real socialism/free markets!".

Make humans into perfect, benevolent beings and any number of utopias would be possible. Until then we should probably just hang anyone who has a plan to create a utopia for the good of the country.

Humans are infinitely greedy assholes. Governments exist to counteract that. Unfortunately governments are filled with humans, so they become corrupt over time and the tree ends up needing to be fed, and it does not accept HFCS.

Yup. It's just a never ending struggle for money and power. We distill it down to left vs right or republican vs democrat to make it easier to think about but it's really more complicated, with the different sides changing places on different issues depending on which way the wind is blowing.

The one constant is that most of us are getting screwed for the benefit of a small group of power hungry psychopaths that run everything. Ideologies are interesting to think about but we shouldn't pretend that they can actually be implemented in real life.

The best thing I've eaten lately was this truffle double baconator at Wendys. Was amazing.

The garlic and cheese one was ok. The other one wasn't amazing, but I don't really like soy sauce so that's not a surprise. The milky pies were great. Star of the show was the Sour Cream and Onion flavour french fries though. They were amazing.

Why is it that literaly every photo of bacon cooked by a non-American shows limp, soggy, barely cooked bacon?

I don't care much about democracy or even capitalism anymore but we really need to conquer and colonize any country that can't cook bacon properly

So I agree that bacon could be cooked more, but what I do like is that its obvious Wendys there at least cooked the bacon. Over here the bacon at fast food is that precooked shit you see on a shelf (not even refrigerated) at the grocery store like this

Bacon is mostly an incidental in fast food. I'm not gonna say no to some sub par bacon, cause its still fucking delicious, but perfectly cook bacon is a rare thing in the wild.
