I haven't had Five Guys in about 20 years. I was debating recently if I should go try it again because everyone I hear talk about it loves it. The price is always something people mention though.

The Big Arch or whatever the new McD burger is called is pretty fucking terrible. It's basically a souped-up variation of the Big Mac but much worse and over $8. It is pretty large though. The Sonic's American Smashburger combo is $2 cheaper and much better with a drink and side included. Just get that and save your tastebuds.

I actually went back yesterday and got a real one and ate in the restaurant for the first time in years. The sauce and fried onion strings make it a little different from a big mac, and no 3rd bun. Definitely not worth the extra price, though. I would take a DQPC over that any day of the week.
Now, the double big mac they have there is way better. They just double the meat on it. For some reason that actually makes it less of a slip and slide.

McDonald's is at the "classy" part of their cycle right now. They try to make gourmet shit that ends up being overpriced and tasting worse. In a couple years some new CEO will come along and bring it back into the "cheap" part of their cycle. They'll talk about how their menu is too large and they've lost their vision. They'll prune down the menu and focus on price and their staples. Rinse repeat ad nauseum.
Taco Bell is guilty of the same cycle. These places need to learn that no one goes to them for quality. Give us mediocre burgers at prices that match the mediocre quality. That's what people want and expect from you.

It's bad. Pretty amazing that they can't find someone to hire that knows how to design a hamburger. Giant, sloppy, gross mess.

Friend tried the chicken big mac and hated it when that was a promo item. I guess thats a popular item in third world countries.

The "official" one was substantially worse then the menu hack since it didnt use McCrispy (when I tried it) or McChicken patties. The ones made for it were awful bread bombs that didnt cook right Also it was missing the onion
Anyways Chilis has a 3 for me for 10.99 with a burger, fries, drink and unlimited chips and salsa that blows all the fast food garbage out of the water.

Don't think I tried that one, but I tried the various ones they tried out using beef patties a few years ago. The one that was basically a DQPC with a bun between the burgers and big mac sauce and lettuce and pickles instead of QP toppings was my favorite. That said, double big mac is better. Same amount of meat, but the double patties on top and bottom make it much more stable.
