I just don't understand what the purpose of stormtrooper armor is. It apparently provides no protection from melee, and no protection from blasters, so literally it appears it's only function is encumbrance.

Stormtroopers arent supposed to be scrutinized. They are distinct in a way that the viewer immediately associates them with being the bad guys. The constume just allows them to be nameless, faceless fodder that no one cares about when they die horrible deaths.

He's too young. If he's going into Mandalorian they should de-age Mark as they originally planned.

He needs to get into his mid 40's at least to have a passable aesthetic.

how do you mean too young? Luke was young at the start of the original trilogy and Hamil aged 6 years by the end. but the character would still be young. this timeline is 5 years after RotJ? so maybe 30 something Luke? seems close enough to me.

He would be like 28 at this point in the timeline. He probably hasn't even found any padawans or started a temple yet at this stage. Ben Solo would only be like 3-4 at this point.

ok, so thats still a young guy role. maybe not baby face, because Hamill got his face busted in a bike accident after ANH. so you could get away with a guy in his early 30s as Luke.

Fuck dude, try to stop being a moron. Who is this 'they' you're talking about? There's no omniscient narrator in star wars. Anytime you heard that it was the opinion of the character saying it. Do you need a list of all the characters we already know survived order 66? There's at least 10 who could theoretically train baby yoda. And that's not including my personal choice jorrus c'boath because so far he's only in legends. The point when anyone says it is that the jedi aren't moving around openly.

She died on a mission between episodes 1 and 2. They never said in the book that she and yoda were an item, but yoda was especially close to her and pretty torn up over her death. I think gorgu was their child personally.

I would be so scared if they announced she was coming back, and get so fucking hard if they did her well. There's a character in the alphabet squadron book who is a beast at hand to hand fighting and she stays completely covered and never talks. I had myself convinced that was going to be mara jade, but alas she's some kinda lizard woman.

I just got caught up because I've been travelling. Who is Cobb Vanth? Is that one of Boba's aliases? I know I've heard the name before but can't remember where.

Maybe it was just in this thread.

He was in one of the Aftermath books I believe. His story in that episode is pretty spot on for how he got Boba's armor.

Must have been one of the side stories that never tied back into anything in the book. Like the one with the gender fluid pirate. I don't think she ever came up again.

yeah it was one of the interlude chapters in the first two books of Aftermath. I actually think those are the best part of that trilogy aside from the final Battle of Jakku and the info about the Empire's contingency plans.

The car accident is overstated. He just looked like a faggot once he matured and the studio had to cover for his genetics.
