I'm not defending cheating. I happen to not like the patriots and I've received negs talking shit about them and their fans. But without solid proof, which has not been provided you can't say the patriots actually cheated in this instance. All I was way ng that burnem, sutekh, and you going full regard about this is actually more annoying then the wall.to.wall coverage it's receiving on esp and other sports outlets. Which I didn't think is possible.
This is a sports thread where we trash talk and make predictions till the game starts. All I'm doing is expressing my opinion that they cheated and will probably be punished somehow (next season). If the NFL finds differently, then so be it. This is only still going on because the idiot patriot apologists won't stop justifying cheating.

Do you take exception to people saying wilfork won't make a difference, or that wilson will be running for his life the entire game too? If I'm wrong in my prediction, it won't be any different than those people being wrong about theirs.

How many times has Brady been in an important game in shitty conditions in his career? How many times has Luck? Pressure and all of that definitely never come in to play and affect someone. Not once in the history of sports. Everyone else already touched on how retarded your conclusions about completion %'s were and why it's retarded to compare stats for one game only (hey guess what, Brady has shit games too on the rare occasion). Also already been touched on how badly the Patriots have shit on Luck and his crew in their previous games.

Your electric bill must be like $1500 a month during summer from keeping your a/c at 55 so you don't melt and/or evaporate.
I never said there weren't other factors, and I never said it changed the outcome of the game. I've only said "Not so fast" to the people saying there's no way it made a difference in the outcome. This game was way out of proportion to Luck's other numbers, even his numbers for playoff games against new england (going from over half to less than a third according to merrith's numbers). Are you saying the condition of the ball doesn't matter at all? Cause it seems like you are, and that would be going full retard.

My AC is set to 70 always. Summer or winter, it doesn't matter.

I admittedly am a newcomer to this thread and I don't follow football at all. I mostly started reading this thread because I wanted to add some context to when I have to watch the superbowl next weekend at my inlaws. However, I can say with credibility that this thread sucks balls. We're coming up to ostensibly the biggest game of the season and you guys are arguing over deflated balls from a previous game. I haven't even read a single post describing the strategic elements to the upcoming game nor insight to the teams, plays and chances of success.

If I was more active in the NFL threads I'd feel I had the authority to make a new thread called, "Dumb NFL bullshit for women" in the rickshaw and make you take all the horse shit there.

STFU Tuco.

Nobody wanted to watch a Seahawks/Patriots Superbowl, which is why people are talking about everything they can other than that impending matchup. Also, this is no different than when people spent the entire week between games talking about the Dez Bryant catch/no catch.

In summation, STFU Tuco.

Ehh Offseason thread is where the action is. In regards to football the Super Bowl is always dissapointing. Casual fans love it and team homers. Deflated balls are just about the only thing to talk about.

Seahawks cover 3 will ruin the Pats short passing game. Gronk will be a nonissue, Brady will be murdered. Seahawks will have an issue throwing the ball and Wilson/ Lynch will win the game on his legs. It will be a blowout one way or another because the Super Bowl is always a blowout one way or another. Super Bowls are boring. You need to be here for the Playoffs.

Over Under Avatar bet up for grabs that Katy Perry shows her panties ....3 times during the half time show. I am taking the over. Leotards count. Bikini's Count. Every separate camera shot counts as 1. Over under line negotiable.

Yeah... actually played D-1AA football and started at various positions on the offensive line (mostly center) for 3 years.

Thanks for asking though.
Maybe you played in a different part of the country than I did, but if your coaches really kept the heat up that high, you guys must have had tons of staph and fungal infections. I guess my coaches cared enough about us to keep it cold.

And I just read that Brady his own self has had issues with staph infections a few years back. Maybe the pats do keep it nice and swampy in the locker room after all.

I played in New England, Rhode Island actually. I dont know the temp my coaches set the field house to but the locker room was always pretty warm. If I was to guess Id say the temp was affected by 100 or so large bodies moving around in relative close proximity. Now, additionally, i dont think the balls were in that specific locker room, but here is a good look at the process the balls go through..

Now, did the Colts have access to that process as an away team? Dunno.

anyway, for the doubter who be doubtin'. Pic from my playing days shutting down some scrub from Maine that tried a swim move. Btw, for Boston peeps, thats Gresh directly behind me.

What does the condition of New England's supposedly underinflated balls have to do with Luck's statistics in this game?

This is pretty much dead on, sadly. Real football fans generally enjoy the conference championships more than the Super Bowl. It's the ones who watch very casually (bandwagon fans especially) that love the Super Bowl.

That said, this year is particularly bad with the deflation bullshit. Generally I feel like people would at least somewhat talk football, but not this year.

That's funny. I'm an ultra casual fan in that my inlaws have a superbowl tradition and that's usually the only game each season I watch. I got an extra game in when I watched the last Packer game and saw my Wisconsin inlaws have their hearts crushed.

I've never been more excited for a game than the one played in 2008. 2012 was pretty spectacular as well.

Well, the other part of his statement was people whose teams are in the Super Bowl. Obviously they enjoy it. But for everyone else it's just kinda meh.

Well.. this would be the first thing in regards to this incident that Jay Glazer has gotten right. He is like 0-4 now.

Yesterday he was pushing that it was a sting operation
Before that Glazer was saying it was the Ravens tipping off the Colts.

Lets just see before anymore of these shitty quasi journalists try too hard to scoop something.
