There's no reason he shouldn't be allowed to troll the media all he wants. If they don't like it they don't have to ask him questions. Yet they still do, weeks later, knowing what they will get. The best thing about it to me is that it gets the public realizing how petty and image obsessed the league is to be fining him for something so inconsequential. If anything he's bringing MORE publicity and discussion to the event, but they are gong to punish him. Brilliant. Of course at least half of the general public is going to be like "this black negro needs to grow up and learn some respect, why can't he give inconsequential bland answers like a well spoken white tight end or quarterback would?"
Richard Sherman, Vince Wilfork, Brandon Browner all had great podium days. They made themselves, their teams, teammates, fan bases and the league look good.

Richard Sherman had the same sort of treatment last year after he dared to be a passionately competitive black man on national television. "Why can't he show some class!?!? My gracious!" The other two quite frankly the average viewer doesn't really know anything about.
I fucking promise you if Gronk went up there with the same schtick the media,especiallythe Boston media, would be falling all over themselves like "LOL what is crazy Gronk doing??? what a breath of fresh air, this kid, lol". Good quote from the offseason thread. How many times has Belichick given the exact same answer for multiple questions repeatedly in interviews? Obviously not every single answer, but it isn't at all uncommon for him to rehash a specific short one-line answer over and over all interview. Compelling nuggets of journalistic info right there! The entire sports media is a fucking joke, and I love Lynch making them look like the bullshit they are.

Earlier in the season when RG3 was shitting it up, he said some things in a press conference about how the team needed to play better, etc, as opposed to "I suck." He got a ton of shit for it. So the next week he just repeated "We're preparing for the Niners" for the entire PC. The media lost their shit just like they're doing with Marshawn.

Anytime a player is honest they get fucking roasted by the media. It pays to not say a fucking thing. Sports media is all shit anyway. They constantly come out with bullshit stories hiding behind anonymous sources which is basically code for throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. I don't blame any player for not wanting to deal with that bullshit.
