On Supernova, I find myself quite often engaging to get a sneak attack snipe with a scoped hunting rifle, then backing off and plinking/running away if anything gets within shooting or punching range.

That Normal is too easy and Hard is waaaay too hard until you get enough perks / skill points is a common complaint.

Fun game, wayyyyyy too short though and hacking makes a lot of things far too easy lol
didn't expect to beat it on hard that quickly

gonna start on supernova and try a melee build

So after you leave the first planet, you get to choose between two paths, find flight plans basically on a space station, or travel to the planet Monarch and fight your way overland through waves of super hard enemies. Anyone choose that way yet besides me? Ridiculous. My weapons were all plasma and level 12+ by the time I left Terra 2 so these mobs are challenging but not that hard. Tons of loot on them and in the surrounding area.

Did you only have the option to go the groundbreaker and monarch? Because I can also select going to Phineas' Lab and Scylla

Of course there will be DLC, unless they hate money
Well, apparently anyone who believes in capitalism is the devil according Obsidian. It seemed less tiresome a decade ago in Bioshock when there weren't real Socialists running for office in the US.

brave new world is the last main story quest of the game

either way, i skipped all terminal dialogue so its "100%" with a grain of salt, maybe theres hidden shit but i made sure to stop and find any quests i could find and scowered the wiki for sidequests to see if i missed any but i had them all.

it's a fun game either way and im looking forward to trying supernova, shame i got teased by 4 inaccessible planets though :(

with PoE2 Deadfire, there was a noticable shift to sjwism with Obsidian. The games are still good, but dark clouds on the horizon

That can't possibly be right, 14 hours to 100%?

So far for me, I am 10 hours into the game according to save. First 7 were on first planet, where I skipped some dialogue due to having seen it in streams (watched some Cohh and DansGaming before it released). I am playing on hard, so not much reloading, and used fast travel between quests, but ran around and explored everything once. Never had a respawn encounter.

The next 3 were on the big ship that the story takes you. There I listened to all dialogue and did everything I could. Just finished up that. However, I did idle a bit, so say 9 hours actively played.

There are 9 areas I haven't visited on my star map. Assuming then, that no more areas open up, they would have to be around 30 minutes each to get to 14 hours.

I think 30-40 hours sounds far more accurate for a regular run going by the pace so far.

No I could go to those as well but those options dont really progress the storyline at that point as far as I could tell

no real spoiler but I’ll spoiler it

The first planet was definitely the most content, monarch probably has the 2nd most and the rest are actually quite short because they’re quite small with only side content

you can’t even visit 4 planets on the map. I don’t know if they were planned to release but they ran out of time or if they’re planned for DLC

Supernova has some super annoying elements. Mainly that you can only save on the ship manually and autosave at zone ins. So I have to intentionall go rezone here and there just to avoid major backtracking because Parvati is a fucking tard and aggros stuff.

BTW, if you want a tip on what to do immediately after finishing Terra 2: Go to Scylla and take the elevator down to find 3 vending machines. The Rizzo's one sells 29 Armor heavy armor, and if you go to Monarch first or head the other way on Scylla, you might be tricked into buying 22-24 Armor crap instead. Then go back up the other way from the landing pad and you'll find another machine with stuff you might prefer for your own character. There's also a couple machines on Monarch for main character stuff, as well as some nasty critters below the pad that you can shoot safely (leave companions behind if you try this on Supernova, they will get downed) and then go collect that loot too.

[As far as I can tell there's no reason not to give your companions the heaviest armor you can find and the highest base DPS weapons you have. LMGs (I modded one electric and one plasma) or the tactical shotgun are probably the best at that stage.]

I just left the first planet, so far I'm enjoying this a lot. Well written, and each character you meet seems really unique. Gameplay, visuals, voice acting etc are all good, nothing necessarily spectacular but pretty damn solid making for a very enjoyable experience so far.
