The first ten minutes is how I knew the entire series was going to be garbage, when they changed Amberle's selection as one of the chosen into some hamfisted girl-power thing instead of the way the book did it where whenever the Ellcrys selected a woman to be chosen was when she thought she was dying and was essentially choosing a potential daughter.
Watched it all anyway because I'm apparently a masochist.
They seriously butchered every single thing that it was possible to butcher, off the top of my head I don't actually remember a single thing I liked about the show except for the casting of Eretria. Not just because she was ball-achingly hot, but because she just really seemed to click as Eretria for me.
The single worst thing about the show was Bandon. 100% made up for the show too, it's not like they merged characters or changed someone from the books, he is nothing but a show creation. First runner up for worst moment in the show was the Changeling replacing Eventine and then basically doing absolutely nothing as king. I mean it could have ordered the elves to do all sorts of dumbass things to guarantee they lost the war, it probably even could have arranged for the Ellcrys to be destroyed. Nope, I'm just gonna pretend to be king and arrange for Arion to die in some nonsensically convoluted fashion.
Second runner up for worst moment in the show was the crazy torturer guy at Pykon. Everything about that was retarded and terrible and territarded. In the book, the Reaper stalks them through Pykon, murdering their home guard escort one by one, culminating in Crispin fighting the Reaper 1v1 on a catwalk bridge to buy them enough time to collapse the bridge. Also, they turned Crispin from a total badass into an insufferable douche for no particular reason.

I watched the whole thing as well. One of my favorite book series growing up.

Necro... thought this show was canceled but apparently it's moving to Spike this fall. Along with a bunch of new character that'll probably ruin the show more than it already is. Also sounds like it's going week to week for the stories instead of a whole season story.

Terrible. There was no followup book with Wil Ohmsford as the protagonist. They butchered the "Elfstones of Shannara" in the first season and for some dumb reason decided to pull story lines from the first and third books to create the second season instead of just creating a whole new story within the world.
Oh you didn't read? This entire season and probably any other season they might make is completely original and made up.

That's the thing, it's not completely made up. It's meshing in shit from Sword and Wishsong: Warlock Lord and Mord Wraiths...which means we will probably see the Sword of Shannara this season.
Yeah because Hollywood doesn’t have an original thought and think they are so clever.
As long as they have hot girls in their 20’s making out we won’t tell them differently either.

On the one hand, the mediocrity of the first season hasn't really changed, on the other hand, they did double the number of hot young lesbians AND add a hot asian chick.
Plus, at least it's not inhumans.
