Not to pile on, but using your own logic that it makes no appreciable difference to the flavor/texture, wouldn't you want to rinse it just to potentially clean off any contaminants like others are saying? It doesn't take long - maybe 30 seconds and you can rinse it within the vessel you're cooking with, so, it's not any extra clean up work.All this salt and not one of you has actually tried it

I rinsed my rice for years then I engaged critical thinking, experimented, and found 100% clear evidence it makes zero difference. Keep repeating what you read though, thats the key to being right!
