I could literally load up my choice of hundreds if not thousands of hours of shows or movies I haven't seen before in under a minute from Peacock / Max / Paramount /D+ / Amazon / etc., to say nothing of Youtube's near endless archive of videos I may or may not have any interest in, plus rewatching hundreds of hours of stuff I enjoyed previously but haven't seen in years.
The opportunity cost isn't the $15, its the time in comparison with everything else I can access easier - and for some of us, evaluating whether (given the avalanche of content) this specific IP (MCU) is worth continuing to care about. That said, is it worth watching four hours of reviews before you make that decision? Hell no.
*At least, that's the thinking of the general audience. I personally watched a Saturday matinee and thought it was fine but not particularly noteworthy. I'm more interested in seeing if Pugh gets pushed as the new 'Face of the MCU' with Bree Larson's implosion - I'd rather see Bree, but I don't want to hear her.

Skipping over a couple pages of stupid, so apologies if it was posted. Variety reports the Russos directed the post-credits scene on the set of Avengers: Doomsday just weeks before the movie released.
My wife who isn't a huge MCU fan complained she was somewhat spoiled by the credits, as a certain theme song is listed, lol.

standard MCU flair. its a solid 4 out of 10. better than most of the shit post end game. I'd say bottom 1/3 of MCU but I forgot how many dog turds the MCU has released. So middle of the pack but not because it's good, because most of the MCU is so shit.
shit written "villain" ie JLDs character, no idea her project worked, no clue or background on the successful applicant "bob" but full steam ahead attempting to control him and planning a press release to announce him? She's basically playing Selena Meyer from VEEP (which is a tongue in cheek jab of HRC), failing upwards due to sheer incompetence.
completely wasted/undeveloped bad guy "Sentry." He's a shithead druggie loser who gets turned into a god, I guess? But the power of guilt makes him emo superman? fuck I don't know. Is Void supposed to be another entity that is possessing him, is it his depression and guilt? who the fuck knows. The copy I stole off the internet doesn't have the 2nd post credit scene no idea if they bothered to explain him or not.
It was all so rushed so hard to really verify but he's basically Homelander, accept she is just winging it, there was no time to actually build a successful deterrence or analyze him for his motivations to know how to keep him in check, she just expects him to do what she says and he's like "Nah fuck that" so she tries to kill him which turns him into emo man.
You might think "well at least it wasn't woke" and you'd be wrong. They just returned to the more subtle wokeism's of yesteryear rather than having all the main characters make speeches and waving tranny flags like Capt Shrimp Boat America.
Pudgy black widow, girl who can phase shift in and out of existence, and 3 super soldiers (2 of whom are WWII vets). Of course the most powerful hero is florence pugh the female without any superpowers at all. 90% of the combat in this film is her kicking dudes asses, in straight up melee combat. At least with ScarJo's black Widow they atleast attempted to highlight her agility and martial arts prowess, using leverage and judo and shit to throw or disable larger/stronger/male opponents. Pugh just punches dudes in the face all movie like it's nothing. Also gets punched by super god like beings that are tossing super soldiers around like rag dolls and she just gets right back up barely a bloody lip. Bucky gets knocked the fuck out and his arm ripped off. Better Captain America gets his shield bent in half. Normal human girl with no super powers? barely a scratch after getting domed and knocked 30 feet through the air.
t's all so tiresome. totally forgettable film.
edit: Also bit of a spoiler, remember Task Master from the black widow movie? No? Ok well if you've seen the trailer for this movie you saw every single second of screen time she has in it. She's on screen for about 30 seconds and gets shot in the head by Ghost, the only competent hero (save mary sue pugh) in the movie.

Sentry was just toying with them and roughing them up slightly, not trying to kill them or seriously harm them. It's pretty clear he wasn't seriously fighting when JLD tries to tell Sentry to finish them and Sentry is basically like "why? they're zero threat"

This excuse is getting tiresome. I get that you could argue that in this film its true, though he has had his powers for literally 3 seconds at this point in the film so he really has no idea his own strength or know how to pull his punches, he would kill them all on accident in a fist fight. it really is fucking lame.
Spider-man pulls his punches because he's just a teenager and doesn't want to hurt people for real. Thats canon and at least attempts are made to convey that in the films to some degree. I mean he can lift 100 tons (200k lbs) so he can punch through people if he wanted to.
Every other film, every other character? Also pulling their punches? Even the bad guys? Fuck no. It removes all suspense, stakes, sense of danger, and believability when normal humans get knocked around by God's and get up with just a smudge of dirt on their brow and this movie even calls it out (when pughs character is called out for "looking rough")
Stop putting normal people in fights against God's and demons and expecting girl boss power to protect them by the power of feminism. I need omni-man levels of punching through people, chopping off heads, using buildings as weapons. I need homelander punching through airplanes.
That or stop putting normal people in those fucking situations. Avengers 1 had Hawkeye calling out formations for the rest of the team to react to and strategically shooting down targets he could effectively handle. Black widow did spy/infiltration shit and when push came to shove had to use ninjitsu and run the fuck away to not die.
Then marvel got DC dumb and had every character even normal humans settle every battle with fist fights.
Then the last 2 films (capt shrimp boat) had them settle final battles by talking? Idk never watched that one.

Not even that, both characters are flawed in similar ways in the comics. Sentry was portrayed very faithfully here. I also didn't have any problems with "newborn" Adam Warlock. Gunn knows he flubbed the character, but wrote himself into a corner introducing him in GotG2.

Super soldiers are still pretty low on the superhero ladder right? Just humans with a little extra strength. Granted they go toe to toe with gods whenever the script calls for it.

I think they may have meant "not super" as in, not doing super, considering just about everyone in this movie is bordering on suicidal or at the very least has a huge chip on their shoulder and is depressed.
