Amazon should rebrand bond into the 00 universe. Give the dei their own 00 and let 007/bond be the white guy.

When they play old Bond reruns we're shocked how good they were compared to the trash they shit out now. Our expectations have been zero for years, so the only entertainment we get is seeing the new lows they still manage to reach.

I am on Goldfinger, slowly watching them all in order. Will skip the 2 Dalton ones as I just watched those then decided to go back in order.

Now wait a minute. If they were to get Sydney Sweeney to be the new Bond, she and Moneypenny could spend an entire movie Goldfingering each other.
I actually heard last night they're starting "auditions" for the new Bond....

And I'm thinking why are they doing this in a world where Henry Cavill exists and is right there in the UK?

Cavill as Bond
Sydney Sweeny as Tits Galore (grand daughter of Pussy Galore) who turned coat and works for the CIA
Alexandra Daddario as the yet to be named Russian Counteragent.

Make that film... print money.

Plus, Cavill just started as an ambassador for Longines and would have to switch over to Omega I’m pretty sure.

Took a second to remember that Cavill was in Mission Impossible and not Bond.

Kind of interesting to see the overall pussification of Bond over the decades:

Connery: straight to the point, sleek suave Bond, some puns and silliness but not too much.
Roger Moore: Campiest silliest Bond, every other line is some kind of pun. Still solid adventures.
Pierce Brosnan: Here Bond starts getting way more emotional about his missions, his women, etc. Much less silliness, but also less of a straight shooting spy, more bleeding heart. Now his boss is a woman.
Daniel Craig: Emotional slop Bond, trying to break even more with the old timey Bond. Way more about his history and childhood and all kinds of psychological BS not required for the adventure.

I watched all the bonds in order when they were on Netflix, got to Casino Royale before they yanked them.

Why are we omitting Timothy Dalton’s pair of films. They were quite darker than Moore or Connery - was nice to see Q in the field some.

The one George Lazenby one is odd because it’s out of order from the books is really telling. It does play through him getting married and her killed, its referenced nicely subtlety in the films after.

What is odd and interesting - is that all the “old” bonds up till goldeneye “look” like old films, then suddenly boom, it looks modern… i wonder what exactly it is.

Pierce Brosnan was a great Bond. The scripts and fucking horrible CGI ruined it.
It should have been a smooth shift from Remmington Steele, but... Hollywood.

Connery has always been my favorite Bond. That bathtub scene where she's like, "Give me something to put on" and he hands her a pair of shoes. Legend.
