Beat this with my son last night. Was really fun. 12 hours/points.

Joined the approximate 33% of players on Steam to finish Cyberpunk 2077. No big complaints other than it was way too easy on Normal difficulty.

It's always kind of telling when a game has a low completion rate. I was really surprised when Bloodborne had a high completion rate. Not only that, but the level-to-level dropoff in trophies was barely present. Most people who started the game finished it. Some games have rapid dropoffs in completion from level to level. Like IIRC a ton of people stopped playing FF15 during the abysmal Chapter 13.

Beat Horizon Zero Dawn + DLC over the weekend. Was pushing hard on Sunday to finish it all off. HLTB says 30 hours for the main story on the complete edition, but I'm like dead on for the Main Story + Extras time frame. haha

Yay 30 points (I'm not able to win anything since I'm hosting this month) FYI

Bring it Rajaah !!

That raises an interesting question. Do DLCs ever count as a game, under particular circumstances? Like I wouldn't count short DLCs, but one may want to consider MASSIVE DLCs as a separate game. Whether it's Frozen Wilds from HZD, or Iceborne from MHW, or even Annihilation Line from Terminator: Resistance (it takes about 7 hours which is about as much as the main game). I don't know what I think. It'd certainly be simpler to not count them at all, but counting them would help people knock out backlog.

I'd say something like Far Cry: Blood Dragon that started life as a DLC but is now getting releases as a standalone game should count as a game. I've got the latest version of it backlogged.

Also I'll be bringing it later this week, fo sho.

I think we had this come up with the Witcher 3 DLC's, where either one of them are a game in and of itself as far as time goes. I say yes, they absolutely count. For HZD they have the "complete edition" listed separately from main game + DLC, and maybe they do this with all the different game versions but since the times were nearly identical, like 22 + 7.5 or 30, I didn't care really.

Beat Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster. Wanted to run it before Stranger of Paradise came out, with a super-unorthodox party. Monk/monk/black mage/black mage. It was HARD, particularly in the first half of the game. I'm tempted to do more Pixel Remasters on the phone, but I'm hoping for a console release instead.

Also beat Rez Infinite. This took me way way longer than the purported 2 hours on HLTB. Surprised I didn't get the "play for 10 hours" trophy. The last level is so obnoxiously difficult compared to the rest of the game, plus it's like as long as all the other levels combined. Took many runs at it to get it. This puts me at 36. Want to take on Arceus next, hopefully it's good.

Taking a break for a few days to put in extra work and make some extra money. I'm hitting Arceus hard on Sunday.

I'd give this game a rating of 7.5/10. I haven't played a Tomb Raider game since the original PS1 game, but this one came off as a Uncharted/Far Cry 3 clone that was more action oriented than exploration and puzzle solving. Its was pretty easy to get into after being in a gaming rut. Only real dings I have against it were the obnoxious industry trends of the time that it is crammed with: quick time events, shaky cam cutscenes, and making the franchise dark and gritty. And Epic Games is trash. Apparently not all games display their achievements from the launcher like Steam?

Beat this not long ago as well and agree with your assessment. The fewer puzzles and exploration were a good thing I thought.

HLTB is pretty on the money with their estimates... took me right about what they suggested to 100% it.

Back, plowing Far Cry 6 as we speak. Was planning to plow the new Pokemon game today but I ended up deciding to finish off FC6 once I found out how far along I'd gotten with it. Also have a Dark Souls Remastered run going. Never played it before, only the original. I fully plan to plat this, but not right now, just going for the end. Doing a completely new build which is a lot of fun. So Arceus is taking a backseat to both of those. I'm hoping I can beat FC6 tonight as I'm basically speedrunning it and I have something like 25% of the story left at the most. I want to see the godawful ending everyone was raving about on here.

Finished Far Cry 6. The last couple of missions were really good/intense and the most fun I had all game. The rest was a bit meh, about 10 hours too long and way too much busywork. Halve the game's length and make more of it like the last couple missions and it could have been incredible. That puts me at 36+22.5 = 58.5.

Horizon Zero Dawn down, on the board with 23. Liked it, didn't love it. Just did base game, maybe return to DLC down the track.

Finished Transistor. Bastion was better, and Hades is still head and shoulders above all the rest of their stuff. Pyre is... weird.

Finished Dark Souls Remastered (and then beat the final boss again for the other ending).

I've played the others as melee specs, but I always play this first game as a caster. I really like the Big Hat Logan spells. I think I even played as a Faith caster once, though the slowness of their attack spells was an issue. In any case, this was my first time ever playing the game as a melee character, and it was tough. Tough, yet awesome. Nothing was much of an issue except for the final boss, because I don't really parry at all, I'm a dodger. Still, took him down.

I'm totally going for the plat, but I might put it off for a bit because I want to take out more backlog. Not sure I'm even that far off from said plat, just have to do the weapon-forging trophies and all miracles/sorcery/rare weapons trophies. I went out of my way to collect stuff in NG which is why I'm probably not far off.

58.5+29.5 = 88

Went ahead and got the plat (again). What a fantastic game. I hope all of the Dark Souls games get PS5 versions eventually so I can plat them a third time.

Month flew by, gonna see if I can finish off Breath of Fire 4 this week as it's one of my last couple of unbeaten PS1 games. Been playing it on and off for years, about two-thirds of the way through it and I think I've got the drive to finally put it away.
