Has anyone leveled up recently?

I'm 23 - if I try to pick this up yet again (third or fourth time), just wondering if I should expect to be able to find random LFGs for some good dungeon runs, or should I just power my way through bear asses and have fun dungeon times at/near the max end.

What I would do is basically treat it like an extra hobby, not a primary game. Log in, look for a group, try to start one, and if you don't get one after a little while, just log out and try again later. To me, the magic in Vanguard is grouping, and soloing to max and then trying for groups end-game is really missing what Vanguard has to offer (though the end-game content, imo, is good).

Maybe even check the forums for a static group that meets once a week. There's a few that run through projectnorrath.

I personally put myself in a brotherhood with two other characters since accounts are free. EXP is way too fast. Also, if I do want to solo a bit or grind for the cat mask I'm not out-levelling all actual content in that range.

In general, though, if you just quest-grind solo to max, you won't make it to max.

Yeah, that's what keeps happening to me. I did the HL quests (except the last one, gotta get dude's head) and the URT quests, because those were fun (URT cracks me up). But almost everything else bores me. But I'm not a gold member, so I can't use the gear. I'd like to sub for a month so I can use stuff (not that it's needed), but I can't justify subbing for a game that I have to treat as a 3-4 hours a week hobby. Unlockers piss me off, but maybe that's the better solution.

DAMN YOU VANGUARD, I WANT TO LOVE YOU!!

Started playing this a cpl weeks ago. yes there is people, a decent amount it seems.

Very fun game got a Disciple to 30 and they seem like the coolest class i have played in an mmo possibly ever. whidona is my name in game

I looooooved playing my disciple and I miss playing him. I was decked out in mostly raid gear and I looked cool as shit.

Nice - the wife and kid are going to her in-laws on Friday. I'll have the place to myself Friday. If I can finally get some grouping going on, this would work out excellently.

I've tried this game on and off and got to level 8 on a bloodmage a few weeks ago. Thinking about giving it another go but doesn't seem worth a sub, maybe when they start doing the sub one sub all thing. Would definitely like to see more of what the world has to offer besides the starting zone since i have heard some good things.
