This thread does seem to attract cool guys.

Funny non scale victory thing.. I had to buy new swim trunks because mine were laughably large. Medium.. a size I don't think I ever fit into even as a kid.

I also went shirtless to the beach and didnt feel too ashamed for once. I felt like I looked normal if that makes sense.

Some people just have difficulty with the facts of it. It comes down to two very specific rules.

1. Eat for the weight you want to be at. Do this and you will reach your weight goal without ever needing anything else. Counting calories is literally the only long term way to stay at a specific weight.
2. Exercise if you want to convert fat into muscle and shape/tone your body the way you want it to look.

Exercise will never affect your weight unless you are doing Olympic level workouts, and are going to continue doing them forever. It will, however, keep your body in much better physical shape than being a couch potato ever will. The long term benefits of improved cardiovascular health alone make this a no brainer.

I remember feeling like that once. Around 20 years ago, I was fresh off the Keto train, straight magic that diet. No one could convince me otherwise. I proselytized as if it were going out of style, if only everyone knew the secret!

Anyway, fast forward to now, I have tried multiple different diets and they all worked, but they worked because either directly or indirectly they controlled my hunger and / or limited my intake.

There isn't a single occasion where I dont eat something absolutely delicious and cry out like a little bitch inside my head that I cant have anymore. There are still nights where I fall asleep looking forward to breakfast.

I feel seen.

Absolutely 100% agree with everything you said here, you are right. Your weight in total is based on how many calories you eat, period, end of story. It can be modified by energy expenditure but ultimately what you eat (how much of it) determines how much you weigh.

But it is a LOT easier to maintain your weight if you have some muscle, not saying anybody needs to be a bodybuilder here, but weight training and having some muscle makes you more insulin sensitive which means you handle carbs better and don't store them as fat as much. People have insulin resistance which causes a cascade of other metabolic issues, which is remedied highly by weight training and having some muscle.

Absolutely. Everyone should exercise. Even just a little bit. It has so many health benefits it is crazy. You don't need to push or anything, just get your body in motion for a little bit.

Premade Guac is terrible and most of them dont even have much avocado in them. Some are all sour cream based.
Would love to see those, imagine that's like Taco Bell guac, usually make our own with a seasoning packet. But looks like Walmarts is real.

Walmart gets shit but a good deal of their store brand foods are better quality than name brand n
Store brand and name brand are often one and the same, made on the same production line, nearly identical formula, just in a different package.

Comes down to the individual product. Some are certainly noticably worse, like their standard mac n cheese. (though the $2 box of velvetta esque shells is perfectly good)
