I’m at 68 stars so far, and I don’t think I’ll aim for 120—this old game isn’t exactly easy. I’m curious if the N64 analog stick might be better suited for this than the sticks on modern Xbox controllers.

Even playing starfox 64 - let alone goldeneye… the n64 controllers while odd- everything was very made to fit the controller and how it was- it does not translate well to any mapping of a modern controller really lol

Nerd game alert: I started to play The Message from Deep Space. It's a game about communicating with aliens except you start from absolute scratch and little by little you develop a communication system. It is arid and some affinity with math, logic, programming and/or linguistics is required, but it's pretty engrossing how you build a language from universal things. The game seems pretty damn long also. I am 7 hours in and still in Act 2 for a game that has like 14 acts! HowLongToBeat suggests 46 hours. I'll let you know.

Yeah, I can imagine. I might give SFox64 a try now since I just finished M64.

Starcom: Nexus. Beat this a few days ago. Great adventure with a good story and crazy twists. Decent 2-d top-down space combat.

Playing the sequel as I write this. I doubt that it's going to be a better story than Nexus, but we'll see. It's got a murderous technophobe cult and a certain alien race just pissed me the fuck off with some Pearl Harbor type bullshit and now i'm in a genocidal mood. So it's off to a good start,

I've had both of these games on my Wishlist for a long time. I may just pull the trigger.
