I am trying to be optimistic here and find a movie that potentially could benefit from a remake, because it aged badly or simply was not that good to begin with.

Would also accept Flight of the Navigator.

The Wizard.

JJ Abrams basically remade ET already (Super 8), and Neill Blomkamp remade Short Circuit (Chappie.)

Very true. Pacific Rim is far better than what a Robot Jox remake would be I'm sure.
