One of the most boggling parts of this.. a GOVENMENTAL OFFICE was able to do something more efficiently than two different private businesses, so I'm also having my cognitive dissonance today. Ah yes..

Haus Haus I remember handling this with my mother back when she retired and it was mind boggling. How they expect people that are retirement age to understand all that shit is beyond me.

The other problem is that it's SO EASY to defraud. When I got on the phone with the Medicare people, I told them my mom's name, and my name and that I was her power of attorney handling all her affairs. How did they validate this information? Asked for her DOB and her Medicare card number and address. Then said I wasn't authorized on her account, I asked them what I had to do to get authorized and they said "Is she there? Can I talk to her?" I put my mom on the phone. They asked her her name, address, and DOB, then asked them my name and if she was OK with me making decisions on her behalf. That was it.

When done and talking to the woman about what happened (hoping I could at a minimum leave a fraud claim against UHC) she admitted it's a constant problem because there's no real security to it. I mentioned how I could have been anybody, and gotten her data off one of the myriad of data breaches out there, then just had any other person get on the phone and say they were my mom and recite the info , and then I could make the changes. She said "Yep.. but it's all we can do"

I look forward to needing to do this again in a couple years.....

Huh, so it's easier to commit Medicare fraud than to cancel a gym membership. That tracks. Tried cancelling yesterday, told I can only do it by emailing their customer service. If I can activate a membership at your gym, I goddamn better be able to cancel it there. They haven't responded yet of course. I was only using it for the pool for me and the kiddos, but the price and fees kept climbing so they can fuck off.

When I was in my 20s and newly joined the military (before basic). I had a gym membership. When I told them I was joining the military and needed to cancel they tried EVERYTHING to prevent me from cancelling. One employee, the first lady I talked to just flat out refused. The second guy told me I could "suspend" my membership up to 2 months and it would resume again after, the 3rd guy, the manager tried to sell some other membership that "suited my needs better". Even after showing them my orders they still refused.

It took my orders, printing out the Service members Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and have a fucking police officer present to confirm that it is, in fact, illegal for them to not let me go from the contract.

Pisses me off you made me remember that. Lol

I’ve always assumed that was the point. They don’t want people to understand.

That's apparently one of the big reasons this fraud is so prevalent. If my sister and I weren't watching her mail and tracking what was going on she never would have even noticed that someone flipped her insurance until all of a sudden she was getting massive bills from half her doctors because she no longer had insurance they accept. Not to mention the elderly, especially if like my mom they're slipping into the Alzheimer's pit, will answer the phone and just try to be agreeable if they aren't sure what's going on. And that's a fast ticket to being taken advantage of.

I've now set her phone on essentially permanent Do Not Disturb set to where it will only ring if it's a number in her contact list.

My wife got mad at me when she & 2nd daughter brought up someone getting a breast reduction and I said it was spitting in the face of God for his gift, the the doctors that do such things are only one step under abortionists, along with the tranny surgeons and all should be in line for a bullet.

10 or so years I have had the same power company, decent rates and can lock in prices for 3-5 years at a time. Last month I got the usual email/bill saying autopayment scheduled. Cool, I get an email today saying now payment made, late fees, power will be shut off by next billing phase. Login and check all my payment methods gone, and auto pay isn't working. Call them to wave the fees because obvious mistake on their side, this bitch tells me nothing they can do. Guess who is switching power companies...fuckers.

Went to the car wash. It was 38 dollars for platinum package. They didn't clean brake dust off wheels, just shined tires. I point this out. I KNOW they will talk shit about me in another language. I turn on the translator app on phone.

I am a black asshole. (THEY are black and Spanish)
My car is a red POS.
I never tip.

Fuck you! Never insult The Mighty Dodge! I tell the supervisor. Show him the chat. I get a free car wash next time!

While I agree with you about abortionists and tranny doctors, breasts that are too large can cause serious health complications.

I didn't go off on the complete thing.... but this girl that they mentioned, girl A - and then it got brought up another girl that my wife and I grew up with at church, girl B lets say...

-spoiler for rambling

Girl B had some gene where they didn't / wont stop growing - she started seeing doctors when she was about 16 and was DDD, by the time she was 18 they were E... they did not do a "big reduction" because they still again, wont stop- and if she were to take them down to even E->C/D when they regrew, skin still only stretches so much even while "growth" makes new - so yeah, this girl has a medical condition and was like 5ft if that, and a stick.

Girl A has like, maybe DD is like 5 foot 7 or so and "curvy thick" her boobs matched, looked fine, big sure but not OMG what the heck?! - her grand parents where youth leaders at church when my wife and I grew up- we grew up with A's mom- - A's mom's parents (the youth leaders at church) are both very thin super athletic people, they had 2 girls, 1 a thin rail and the 2nd (A's mom) a more "thick" curvy girl.... think of growing up in that... and to add context, I am a big guy, always have been- A's Mom's Dad (the youth leader guy) took me aside one day and this is a direct quote "Don't you want to work out more? get thin? Look at my wife, she is thin and hot... Don't you want a hot wife like that? You need to loose weight, get fit like me if you want a hot thin wife." I was like, I dunno 12? wtf is that... "Oh her back!" is always the reason, I really think this is influenced and seen that "the boobs" are what are making her "fat" in their eyes and trimming them down will fix that.

I searched google for before and after, and none of them are "Those boulders will kill anyone's back!" every one was more of a "lift" and restructure to be the "no dangle!" boobs not, some kind of EE/EEE's getting taken down to DD levels.

I do, when the weather gets nice. Now is just to get the salt, sand and dirt off bottom. And clean the inside a bit. It's like a pre-detail.
