Nope, nothing to be done except get some cool carbon fiber robot parts and have more neat scars. My father in law has had both knees replaced. He's 71 and the procedures were much older than what's available today; he's super active with no discomfort.
I do admit, I could be better with stretching, foam rolling, and joint health. But, like cardio, I don't do it as much because I don't enjoy it. Lame excuse, I know.
My grandmother had both knees replaced back in the early 2000's. Both procedures she was up walking the same day and going home within a couple... Kinda amazing. Made a huge difference for her.

As opposed to my grandfather who had to have his knees scoped and jacked up cartilage cleaned up, but it was back in the mid 80's and just that laid him up in bed for a solid couple weeks....

most of my back surgeries including the fusion, they had me up the day of the surgery walking. One , a disc 'removal' , was supposed to be outpatient but they nicked my spinal sac and were worried about a 'spinal headache'. That one I didn't move until the next day.

RE: Knees/hips, I know a lot of peeps that had them replaced and all were better off.

I remember very noob me discovering one night that TLC played full, uncensored medical procedures.

amazon package supposed to be here today, no updates since 6am when it arrived at carrier facility 2 hours away. while checking the update page, notice on the little map, they have my house in the wrong location. posted about this before, i live a 5 oak street North*, and a few houses down the street is 5 oak street south*. for this order, updated delivery instructions with all the details about my house and the other house is not me. i am starting to hate to going down to that house to find packages. the people who live there are ok, but not that friendly.

*not real addresses.. i posted about this several times and know at some point someone is going to figure out i keep posting different addresses.

edit
50 mins after posting

"Estimated to arrive by May 21
We’re sorry for the delay. If you have not received your package by May 21, you can come back here the next day for a refund.
Why is my package delayed?
Your package arrived late at our facility due to a delay in transit. We’re getting it back on track and have adjusted your delivery estimate."

so a delay 2 hours away is going to take 3 days to correct

I've had two procedures on my knee, the first was just a scope and the second a full ligament reconstruction. The scope I was given the option to stay awake and just have a local. I opted to get knocked out, but I sort of regretted it later on. Second time around, for the reconstruction, I told the doctor "this time I want to stay awake." He laughed in my face and said "You don't want to witness the horrific things we're going to do to your knee."

I'm not squeamish by any means. I'll watch it happen to someone else and think, "man, that's pretty fucked up", but that's about it. I sure as fuck don't want to watch it happen me though. Even if I couldn't feel any pain, I'd me much happier not knowing what it's like to have carpentry actively performed on my bones. Shit, just keep me under till everything's all healed up while you're at it.

edit: also, speaking of carpentry, I just realized that that TLC video was also probably my first exposure to how handy a jig can be. I surely wouldn't want him free-handing those angles.

Just got an email from my local shitbag utility asking to complete a survey. As compensation for my time, they'll donate $10 to a charity of their choice in their name. How about you guys pay me and I decide where that money goes. Also, while you're at it, stop paying for advertising and pay that money back to your customers. It's not like I have a choice in the matter.

Yeah, I'm hearing that being mobile right after those surgeries helps with healing. Spinal stuff I am surprised by, but joints like hips and knees makes sense.

My wife's best friend is an ortho surgeon and the stories she tells is gnarly.

I kinda want to be a boob surgeon - I love boobs, I want to make boobs great again.

But I am too old to now become a doctor and do it.

I am sad, I cant be a boob doctor and help peoples boobs be great. I see a bad American boob job and cry, I ask why cant they get the ones the Asian do.

I want to bring the Korean / Japan boob job skills to America… but I am too old :(

…. My son however…

What's so good about Korean and Japanese boob jobs? What's the difference to ours?

ours is more like a production line of the same model that never really changes and is tacked on to pretty much everything. theirs is more like a howard roark type design where the boob job looks like its actually part of the womans body.

Nothing, they just don't tend to stuff them 5 sizes too big, they tend to go undersized and under the muscle so it looks (more) natural. Implants are implants, there's no special surgical techniques, they just prefer a different more natural aesthetic when it comes to that. Which is pretty hilarious since they chop their faces up and look like freaks, but they want natural looking tits.

One way streets. Every now and then I drive through a city whose designers had some sick fetish for one way streets, and my need to commit genocide rises a little bit higher.

Whatever issue you were attempting to solve with one way streets, any other solution would be better and no solution could be worse. Fucking absolute retards.
