I'll also add that I spent years reporting every one of those payroll emails that came with the big red text across the top. It clearly had spoofed headers because it claims to be from [email protected], yet had that red text. That is a textbook sign.

IT did one mass email about it early on, and I've given up my personal crusade now. Apparently they can't figure out how to fix that.

Once a quarter or so, our CIO books meetings with individual teams just to check in. It’s the most waste of time meeting ever. They just regurgitate a bunch of company news and give us an opportunity to ask him questions. This time around they happened to book the meeting on my work from home day. All of the managers want to kiss his ass so, they make it mandatory that we all go in for this meeting. Thankfully, I don’t live too far from work, but it’s rustling my jimmies that I have to get dressed and drive 25 minutes into work on my work from home day just to listen to some useless bullshit. This meeting is in addition to our quarterly all department meeting.

I actually like those meetings. Maybe it's because I've been around long enough to have known those executives back when they did actual work. But my company is cool about it. We can phone it in and even watch the recording if we can't make it live. You should just take an extra work from home day next week. The way my company entices you to join live is by having a crawfish boil in the parking lot and free beer afterwards.

Normally I would be able to work from home a different day. However, my retarded colleagues have abused work from home so much the company put out a very detailed policy where we’re no longer allowed to swap around like that. We get specific days and that’s it.

Blocking ads on YouTube no longer stops and deletes them. Still have to watch the whole thing. New BS change? Depends on the channel? Everything just gets worse and worse over time.

On the desktop and the laptop there are no ads. Its only when I watch on the phone. So, whatever thing iPhone uses.

Don't know if it's available on iPhone, but they have Brave for Android and that's what I use on my phone..

They have Brave for iPhone, but IIRC, there's some baseline webkit that everything else has to get built on, so may not get the same features.

Cat slowed down eating Wednesday last week , stopped outright yesterday , spent 1K at the vet to find out he *may* be having a reaction to the legally required Rabies booster they gave him 2 weeks ago. We have to give him steroids and a reduced hyperthyroid medicine and will find out mid week if that's the cause or if he has Cancer or FIV. THIS is why I didn't want a cat in the first place.

i help with my mom's medical. in june she saw a new ortho and has a follow up tomorrow. i foolishly thought it would be a simple thing and only checked on it today. her first visit, bill was like $150, paid $20 copay and insurances covered the rest.
was checking her in on the portal app, now her copay is near $100. pulled up the estimate,
hospital billing for 99211 (nurse visit) and 99213 (dr visit) and the dr is also billing 99213.
as far as i know, can not bill 99213 and 99211 for the same visit, and certainly shouldn't be able to bill the same code twice.
the estimate was prepared on Friday so even if i had looked into it earlier wouldn't be able to fix anything. the great part, at the top of the estimate has number for questions about this estimate, then at the bottom as a different number for questions.

also have no idea why the hospital is billing, they own the building the dr is in, but didn't charge on the 1st visit. plus her local heart team is in the same office and hospital has never billed of any of those visits.

tldr - talked to useless people and ai for over an hour, seemingly going nowhere, but in the end it was fixed

the estimate, which you can pay through the portal app while doing check in.
hospital
99211 $132 (nurse visit)
99213 $225 (dr visit/outpatient)
dr office
99213 $225 (dr visit/outpatient)

so i call the numbers listed for questions about estimate. some indian chick that goes around and around repeating just what is on the estimate. i finally just say, you are triple charging during the same visit which is illegal. she then puts me on hold for a bit, and says i need to talk the the office doing the billing. get off the phone, open the portal in a different tab as want to be able to look at the office details with estimate still open. the estimate has now changed to just
hospital
99211 $132 (nurse visit)
99213 $225 (dr visit/outpatient)

i then call the dr office, press 4 for billing, put me with AI operator, say problem with bill, say ok, putting you through, American lady. she pulls up the estimate, we don't handle this kind of billing, we do surgeries and outpatient procedures. i say it is listed as outpatient, says it shouldn't be and nothing she can do about it, talk to your insurance.

call insurance, talk to very clearly AI, transfers me to "an agent" which i am pretty sure was AI try very hard not to sound like AI. they did say bifurcate in 3 different sentences in just a few mins. did tell me policy, that office visits have a $20 co-pay. if they make us pay more than that, they will refund the amount over that. this point, over an hour on the phone and tired dealing with it.

get to the dr office, lady says, you have a $20 copay and that was it. i am guessing the indian chick got it looked at and changed but just wouldn't admit it.
