That movie and Bill Murray's douchebaggery pretty much tanked their friendship until shorty before Ramis died. Still a good one though. Andie Macdowell was hot in the 90s.

That’s so fucking coincidental for me.
One, I was just looking up Tom Skerritt yesterday - I knew he was still alive and in his 90s, I just wasn’t sure how far he was in his 90s.
Then, literally right now as I’m reading this, I have some obscure Tom Skerritt movie playing on Prime I started like an hour ago (Stephen King’s Desperation.) Which I wasn’t even trying to watch one of his movies, I was just like ehh I’ve never heard of this, I’ll throw it on in the background while I’m working.
Anyway, another Hollywood great gone, in many many memorable movies, can’t hate on the guy for anything I can think of.

That sucks. Top Gun was one of those movies that fascinated me as a child and led me to join the Navy to work on F-14's. Turns out I was the only person in my class that went to work on F-18's. They decommissioned the f-14 a few years after joining.

Once in high school I went over to a friends house, when I arrived and was walking in his parents (or just mom?) were watching Top Gun in the living room. I stop for a minute to say hi etc and it was right during this scene I'm pretty sure, or something similar. My friend's mom said something along the lines of "Oh yes, make her wait" in a 'I'm totally into this' kind of voice. My friend was pretty grossed out and I bugged him about it for years.
