Pretty sure you and me both know of another site that is interested in this game that doesn't need donations to get into a beta. I've seen your name in the game. More reputable as well. Doesn't matter though. Betas are great, but can't really represent what will happen in the end.
Not really, just worded wrong. This isn't the only community of gamers out there. I belong to a few, as do most others here.

40 man raids and making raiding hard, admitting its a niche for the top 1%. Sounds risky, but maybe they realize they don't need 5 million subs and will be happy/profitable with 1 million, but making a game those people like.
Warplots sound a little like Eve in a way. Have to find/make stuff then it can be destroyed in a battle and you lose it.
They seem to have a really strong idea of what they want to do, it's refreshing compared to listening to other mmo devs these days

The usual smattering of past MMOs including WoW according to their website. I wonder though, why Tim Cain who was brought aboard so early and as Design Director no doubt had so much influence on this game, decided to leave in late 2011?
