Not sure how it works exactly, but they said many many times that people invited to the stress test are also invited to the closed beta.

I think they said something like people who login during the stress test will be also invited to the closed beta as a reward to participating in the stress test considering no one really wants to check out how laggy everything can get.

I believe if you fill out all your information ASAP you'll probably still get into full beta. I filled it out with about 1-2 hours left during stress test and I believe it gave me full beta access. You'll get an email that tells you your 'Beta Account' info. Email 2 or 3.

My uh "friend" tells me its pretty meh and isn't sure 40 man raiding is hardcore as much as a really bad idea.

Amazing friend since we know beta notes say game is only up to level 30. Is this one of my uncle works at Nintendo things and you're implying your related to a dev who hates his own game?

Do people honestly think going back to 40 man raiding and all the baggage it entails is a good idea? And yes I'm very aware of where beta is at right now.

40 man raids is about the only thing I think is a bad idea. Especially considering most guilds now are setup for 10 or 25...it will require a lot of restructuring for some of the existing guild that will move to the game.

No game is perfect.

You think hardcoded factions are a good idea then? Because I would question that decision long before their raid setup. Especially since the idea of warplots suits a guild vs guild pvp style so well.

Who gives a shit about restructuring. 40mans were good because they upped the social, you had guild members who's entire role was to basically be social members and fill raid spots. The lack of social aspect is what is killing modern MMOs, the reason you log on when the game gets boring is to hang out with your guild.
