Wildstar is not targeting teens and young adults. Don't be fucking stupid. They are targeting an audience that has spent the last decade playing World of Warcraft which happens to be the largest MMORPG ever created. That includes, basically, almost everyone.
Aight. I guess the majority of us love corny fart and genital jokes. My mistake. Maybe I just have too much faith in the adult market.

*Reads last 10 pages of someone being furious at cartoony humour vs people loving cartoony humour*

Did I miss anything?

Thanks for stating the obvious. Clearly it's targeted at everyone who has played WoW. I don't know if you've worked this out yet but most people that have played WoW are 20+ hence the game being mostly targeted for 20+ age demographic. Thanks for clearing it all up for us tho.

Pretty much, their whole PR so far screams "we want to draw in ex-WoW players that view vanilla WoW with nostalgia". Their raid game is early WoW and then they throw in advances in group and solo play to turn their product into WoW++. That's a good demographic to target if you consider that WoW had 10mill subs at one point and has a high churn rate. If anyone fancies a guess, what's the number for ex-WoW players? I'd say 20-30 mill easy. If you draw in 10% of those and pull some off WoW itself and fresh blood you get a good 3mill subs to start with. Given the last few years of fail that sounds good to me IF their post-release content schedule can keep up.

Targeting ex-WoW demographics still targets teens/you adults, but that's coincidental I guess. It cant hurt though, so good for them.

You must be a super serious guy in real life.
Not especially... my humour just evolved past that quite a long time ago. Most of Wildstar's promotional videos make me want to gouge out my eyeballs and sell them on the Chinese black market... which is a shame, because the game looks quite fun.

I love how you say your humor evolved past it. Like someones sense of humor is a measure of their maturity.

You keep using the word maturity like some 12 year old school girl. I'm talking about understanding complexity in humour... Probably more a measure of intelligence than maturity.

Jokes involving bodily functions are pretty low on the totem pole, as far as I'm concerned anyway. Chances are an 8 year old isn't going to find many stand up comics very funny, but will crack up over an episode of Cow & Chicken.

It's not a measure of said 8 year old's maturity level, but their ability to understand unconventional logic, irony, observation, or any number of things that makes a more complex 'joke' funny. They have no problem understanding an odd sound + a disgusting smell = funny, though.

But this is just childish garbage aimed at kids. If you think otherwise, you're deluded, or just a child yourself (mentally or actually).
Look who's been a naughty boy. "BUT but but I didn't mean it like that." Now please quietly accept your wrong doing and move a long.

Also stop thinking about me as a 12 year old school girl you creep.
