Yeah I can understand getting worked up with 15 year olds (although even then it's a bit iffy), but 18? Fuck off. One of my first one night stands was a 30 year old I met in a club when I was 18, and the only traumatic part was going to the bathroom afterwards only to find out too late that a) she lives with her elderly mother, who b) walks around the house without a top on. Ugh.

Most states now have a law where it is illegal for any teacher to have sexual relations with a student regardless of ages involved. This in some states applies to colleges as well as k-12 schools. I sort of understand it especially if the student is in the class of the teacher as the teacher has power potentially over that students life so there is a balance of power/coercion risk there.

Those laws are in place for primary schools. I'm pretty sure they don't cover college profs. My university here in TX is old school and still doesn't have any rules in place for professor/student relationships. My old, balding, perverted microbiology professor is well known for banging his grad students and recently got divorced because of it. He's tenured and gets published so his job is in zero danger.
