Yeah, people afk'ing while sleeping. They need to clamp down on that shit.

Got to level 11 today on Whitemane. Then logged out to eat dinner, and when I logged back in, 15000+ queue again.

that's where you fucked up, never log out to spend time with family

562 minute (9.36 hour) queue at 7:30pm. Guess I'll try tomorrow morning while at work *sad face*

I launched wow on my work pc, queue was 10,000, minimized the window and locked my screen, got home about an hour and a half later, sat down and logged into wow. It showed a 12,000 person queue up for me, and I was like "Well fuck, that didn't work" and after like 5 seconds or so, bam, my position changed to 6,900. I booted up my wifes pc and just logged her in, 12,000. So, that worked, I assumed it tries to save your place in line, and just disconnected my work pc when I logged in at home. As long as your work doesn't give a fuck, that's something. I'll probably just boot it up 3ish hours earlier next time, as I'm still going to be waiting 3 hours or whatever tonight.

How about just have ONE server and dynamically add as many "layers" as needed? Didn't the original Guild Wars do this?

I mean it's been fifteen years. Why is this multi server concept still a thing?

I really would like to know what Blizzard is thinking about the fact that all these people want to play the original game? What is this telling them?

If HALF of the people quit - like they keep saying - that's still FOUR HOUR queues on most servers and two hour queues on the smaller ones. That's still absurd.

Their fucking egos are so out of whack.

It should be telling them to fire all their current game designers.

I do get their conundrum, though. If you invest too much in this and the nostalgia of all the kids who were in grade school / high school when Vanilla WoW was first out wears off, and main WoW remains stagnant, then you've invested lots of money into something that isn't going to give you a good RoI.

Thing to remember is after people hit cap, you're going to see level 60s trolling the contested zones ganking noobs because they are bored (just like in vanilla), the "wait 1 week for raid reset" MMO grind again because that is all there is, and AV/WSG get overrun by epic geared raiders looking for something to do. The game had very little to do outside raiding at cap besides WSG or AV, boring rep grinds, or farming mats to sell to raiders/fund your guild. Then you'll have people screaming to release BWL and AQ and Naxx on an accelerated schedule, or starting to remember why certain things were changed (ie, useless specs, shit itemization (hi2u Marudon resist gear for AQ40), the fact Alliance had to spend almost half an hour getting to Dire Maul and then not finding a group because it was in the middle of fucking nowhere).

Can't believe how good the game looks at 4k, especially dwarf/gnome starting area..
