The military gives out participation medals, I ought to know since I got one. Why should we be any different? Plus, I told the guild I'd give them out for C'thun and Kel'thuzad boss kills for all guild members present in the raid so I'm fulfilling my word to them.

The national defense ribbon was ABSOLUTELY a participation ribbon. They called them 'bootcamp ribbons' when I was in, because everyone just out of bootcamp had just that one ribbon and nothing else. Literally everyone had them just for being active duty.
Anyway, to add a bit more context, they weren't begging for a medal or even asking for one, they were reminding me of my promise and that it was time to fulfill it because C'thun had been killed.

All of us were in the 160 range and on huhuran took 6-8k in poison bolt damage after GNPP while being in the middle of the pack in kill time (1:25). The fight was super trivial and probably the easiest one in general in AQ.
We didn't try viscidus but based on other guilds they are still stacking similar NR.
I imagine we'll be dropping more NR as people get comfortable and do more DPS.
