Because the WoW community is currently deep into their copium addiction, and is trying to bring people down playing FFXIV any way they can. The local "mongolian kids cartoon forum" threads are hilarious. They even claimed they need "trash between bosses for the soul of the game" or some bullshit.

It wasn't the FFXIV community that blasted Quin69 for boosting and failing at FFXIV, it was his own community, that he polled if he should boost, which said 70% no, and he did it anyway. Any shit flung his way was deserved, but it wasn't from FFXIV players.
