How can you say Legion didn't cut it compared to the last two expansions? Genuinely curious.

This is easily as bad as WoD at this point. Honestly this is quickly approaching Cata territory. The well built leveling content from the pre-live team and core ideas for systems have been turned into epic disasters. They are running on pure hopium at this point. The pvpers hate the state of the game, the casuals are pissed at the time commitment and lego system and the hardcores are quitting in droves because of split raids and mythic diff tuned for casino winnings instead of skill.

It's a disaster all around.

Pet battles are in pretty good shape.

Honest question: I've tried to get into pet battles in WoW before and was honestly looking forward to them when they were first announced. Doing them was fucking miserable, though. Animations/actions/etc. take forever, trying to level shit up takes forever unless you buy something to PL with. Are there addons/tricks/etc. out there to make it easier/more enjoyable?

There's addons and tricks but the real problem with it is you can't really evaluate shit independently. First off, it takes too long to attempt battles randomly against difficult targets (animation time, etc.). Secondly, you have a long cooldown on the 'pet hp reset' button and otherwise have to accumulate bandages. Third, once you do this and are ready to try - if you find out your XYZ isn't quite up to it, you typically have to level another pet which means sometimes going and locating it, camping it, and worst of all bringing it to a leveling place. All of this makes it very clumsy and irritating to play casually, because INDIVIDUALLY each encounter is meaningless, utterly meaningless, and very 'rock paper scissors'. So unlike say, Pokemon, where you have to get a single thing to address a specific say gym trainer or whatever they are that's blocking a 'story progression', you're instead put into awkward situations where you come across a quest/WQ/trainer and faced with a huge task to rearm for one encounter.

Eventually, if you have specific rare pets you can get stuff that 'generally works against some things' and this becomes less of a hassle, and you are 'sent away to farm' far less often. There's still an unfortunate rudderlessness to the whole experience, though, because you aren't really progressing in any linear fashion - instead you're doing piecemeal tasks with dubious rewards and questionable value (for instance pet rewards that are just thoroughly junk compared to rares from elsewhere). The entire thing is just frustratingly dull in this regard. The pet dungeons are a step in the right direction - but it's still just kind of a cluster until you get a really solid 20ish capped (generally very rare) pets that are OP as fuck and can deal with almost everything. At that point it's kind of interesting/fun because you can actually do the content without much needless hassle for say, one WQ.

I mean the easiest thing is to get the leveling down pat (I use dragonblight condor babies) and get a list of obtainable, OPAF pets and obtain them via AH/farming/etc. and spend a weekend grinding the fuck out of them (ideally the bonus weekend but w/e it's not awful) so that you have a reasonable starting point to start enjoying some of the content.

I pretty much just do it to complete WQs/rando quests/boredom, so I don't have the best setup or any huge collection but I've managed to scrap together a bunch of usable pets over the years, for whatever it's worth.

Youre going to hate this but I enjoyed PvP in WoD. Heres why(dont rage! :)) I liked Ashran. It was like an AV that I didnt have to leave. Getting Alts geared enough to fight in there wasnt too bad at all.

As for PandaLand - It had its ups and downs, but the raids were quality - it was pre-pruning - so world PvP was awesome - I especially enjoyed the battles at the PvP vendors and on Timeless isle.

I want to make it clear that I think Legion still has a lot of quality in it, but I just dont feel like its up to WoW's standard. With all the original Devs gone, I feel like WoW's soul has dissipated.

Nothing will ever be as bad as WoD.

Legion is turning into a cautionary tale at record pace though. It was very promising at release even though it was buggy as hell but they have removed/nerfed/altered everything that was fun about it and turned it into a stale, lifeless experience.

WoD was the best! For less than 20 min a day play time, I could make 30k-50k a week on the garrison, and then only log on for raids; at least until the 12+ month shit show that HFC turned into. I am still, mostly, running on free game time from WoD cash and it is the only reason I am still playing. Wow hasn't been worth $15 a month for a long time now!

Finally beat Chromie. Once you get the double time chest talent, it becomes a lot easier with a little luck.

I parsed high 80's and 90s in heroic NH. The ISB limitation is lame and feels off. All the stagger nerfs were a little noticable on Guldan.

Everything would be fine except for the ISB timer nerf. That shit is dumb and it feels clunky.

Basically. In the beginning I felt overwhelmed and felt like there was infinite stuff to do. Then they started tweaking shit. They broke M+ where no one wanted to do them. They made concordance over 1 point absolutely fucking laughable. BROKEN SHORE.

Hopefully tos is at least fun... Because that's all we got. Also forced to do mythic+ to upgrade our legoes. Yikes. The monk nerfs have been a bit disheartening too. It's not even the nerfs, it's the sweeping changes. That's the theme of this expac though

"Guys we won't so sweeping changes" proceeds to do it every patch.

Brewmaster is really overpowered in ToS and the nerfs aren't anywhere near enough. They're past bears with how stupid they are.

It's pretty much never normal to get 2 legendarys in one day, that is some good luck there. The first two legendaries at 110 tend to come quickly now, but not THAT quickly.

Don't doubt it at all, it's this class rework they did. Unnecessary and will just cause problems. T20 4pc was retarded lol.

It's not particularly common to get two, but it does happen.

Did they nerf doing invasions on alts for a quick level?

As far as I know, they changed it so that the WQs for it give experience, but I think that's the only source.

I respect his right to play however he would like on whatever platform he'd like, but he's wrong.
