NELF racial cooldown of 10% crit boost for 15 seconds is quite nice.

Gnome Expansive Mind means Gnome Rogue and War have 105 Rage/Energy instead of the base. Engineering devices break less often.

I just can't get over MTX + Subscription for Forever.

Yeah, the Forever dev effort is separate from Live and needs to be recouped somehow, but MTX on a Sub is the worst way to do it. Especially when there's no visibility on what / when the next MTX will be. Especially since there were no SoD MTX (that I can recall).

Again, my issue isn't this time - I'd be fine with a required box purchase to play Forever at all - it's how often it will be this time again.

The fun thing about the MTX is I'll never see it. I'm turning transmogrify off. After that it's no different the the mounts they have been doing in classic since TBC. At the end of the day its still Blizzard, and if the worst thing I am going to miss is a race with a race locked starter zone I will never play then oh well.

And yes I expect expansions and that is fine. A horizontal endgame is one of the things I really liked in GW2, even if it took me close to a year to catch up and unlock everything.

Forever is not a seasonal server. Not even a one-shot server like the Anniversary ones. This will be developed FAR more like Retail than anything else they've done. It's time to stop thinking of Forever as a "game mode" and more like a second full MMO game.

You don't even need to buy the MTX here unless you want to play as a gay space elf. I don't know what the issue is. Its the best middle ground really. Even Turtle WoW had almost this exact setup, which included race swaps and other shit as MTX. Like they had various troll subraces and so on.

I admit that when they get to the point of selling content they might indeed sell an expansion as a MTX, but it would functionally be no different than traditional expansions at that point.

I think it will be an overall solid change. Ion and his fags can focus retail development explicitly on what makes raids and mythic+ more ballcrushing and regular players will have a place to go.
