Right before fathers day? You should tell her you want anal on your birthday and a blowie on fathers day.

Then agree to swap the order and you can feel magnanimous.
EDIT: Totally forgot Sunday was also Fathers Day (no kids). Changed it to the local country club restaurant.

I'm so goddamn sticky. My whole house is sticky.
a window unit is less than 130bucks, you should have one as a backup

i mean it just makes sense, if it gets too cold, ppl buy those $100 floor standing heat units you can move around, why not have a window ac you can whip out in case of emergency

I have two space heaters so I don't have to run my main unit during the winters, brings my electric bill down like $150 compared to the heat of summer.

When forums are the only play you are on while the rest of social media burns in hell.
I can't even agree that forums are social media, at their core.

If you sit down and list all the features that make social media bad, basically none of those features are shared with forums.

What they have in common is only that they're both online, and involve interaction between people. And if we're broadening the definition that far, then the entire internet is social media, and email is social media. Thats obviously a uselessly board definition, so we scale it back to something more reasonable, and forums arent social media.

yea i have one for my den that my wife now stole for her office b/c she likes the hvac cold and she likes to wear shorts but that gets too cold so she'll turn on heater pointed at her legs.

obviously i know it's silly we have perfectly controlled temps (i even have specific room sensors for the hvac) and she just goes and turns on the heater willy nilly when she can just put on a pair of sweats.

double obviously i've been married long enough to know, not worth it

$130 wouldn't buy one that would cool our living room and mounting is an issue. We don't really use the windows so they're all blocked off. But we have been planning to buy a portable AC. For that all we need to be able to do is open a nearby window for the exhaust and we can move it from room to room easily.

You can get portable ac units. Friend gave me one that is like 15"x15"x40" . Has has a hose to blow hot air out a window, downside, have to empty the water from it daily. Used it in my workshop for a bit did pretty good..

well yea, 130 was the low end, if you were serious, you'd get the new u shaped ones

12k btu and mounting isn't an issue, unless you can't life the ac physically

I have been tempted to get a window unit for the garage. Now that I'm thinking about it again, maybe I'll set up a portable one in there and if we need it in the house, we just go get it.

medea or midea or something like that is the brand I just bought yesterday. But it is a regular window unit. Do they have heat? If they don't have heat, my searches would have filtered them out.

Midea just had a recall on some of their older models. Werent draining properly (even when leveled according to directions) and were pushing mold into the air. I started the recall process a few days ago. Too bad too, really liked it. Quiet and reasonably efficient. I'll probably get another eventually, but had to go to lowes and buy a normal window type for the immediate use.

yea it does suck, my garage window unit, i have the accordian things sandwiched between styrafoam inside and foam outside, i sealed it off w/ tape and it's basically permanent until i move (i used to take it down for the winter, but too lazy now). this is just to bug proof really, but it does help w/ insulation, if you close the vent it's not bad
