Does that shit go bad? I'm guessing maybe the Petrolatum might, if it is in any way related to actual petrol. Like, I'd imagine petroleum jelly (Vaseline) breaks down after a certain period of time, but that's just a guess too.

most of the ointments that were 10+ years old were pretty firm and turned a dark color. the creams that were in tubes had swelled up like balloons with the cream like a dry paste. some of the lotions had separated. did keep many of the anti-itch/poison ivy products that still looked okay. figured the worse could happen with them, is still have an itch. think eye stuff is only thing i wouldn't use much passed the expiration date.
