Appaloosa. Beautiful movie, Ed Harris stars and directs. It's not your standard Western. Action is quick and brutal and the characters are very non traditional Western. If you liked him in Westworld check him out. I think the movie is very underappreciated.

I'm completely opposite on these two. Pandorum was unbearable in the theaters, and when I watched it again at home a few years later, the only reason I paid any attention was because now I knew that was the awesome and hot Faora El from Man of Steel. It was still terrible.
To be fair though, apparently sci-fi horror doesn't work very well for me, because I'm the one that hates Event Horizon. Which I suppose I might say is overrated, to stay on topic.

Overrated. Snatch, rock and rolla (Guy Ritchie kinda sucks in retrospect), A Mighty Wind, Force Awakens (disclaimer, I'm not too much of a Star wars fan to begin with).

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is basically a film-school masturbation fest at this point. Great movie and I love watching it (I've probably seen it two dozen times over the years. Friends love drugs love movies about friends loving drugs) but it is far from underrated.
My most underrated movie ever that I've seen would be Krull. Pretty sure it was critically panned at release, but it is one of my favorite sci-fi/fantasy movies from the 80s/early 90s.

I got to watch Frailty at movie night with some fellow nerds and it really caught me by surprise. In a different era I think it could have been a major commercial success.

Yeah, total sleeper hit for me too. Picked it up as a desperate rental one day and was floored. Definitely one of my favorite thrillers of all time.
